I’m having trouble with a xbox360 to ps4 converter and could really use some advice. I’m using a Madcatz Soul Caliber 5 fightstick and at first it recognized every button except “start” or “back”. I then completed a firmware update and now it does not recognize any button inputs.
Is there any reason why this would happen? How can I fix it?
With the latest firmware it’s possible to use a dualshock 4 in a classic xbox (the first version) with a generic ps2 to xbox converter. All the buttons work like a charm, even vibration.
PS3 controllers don’t have built-in six axis sensor, so there’s no motion control for PS3 controllers
It’s wired for controller, but it’s wireless with the Switch console
In fact, you can plug the converter to any other usb port, it doesn’t have to be plugged to the dock
By just offering power to the converter, you can use it
My DS3 is a Sixaxis controller - I thought those had a built in sensor? Either way, it’s not that big of a deal - I really liked how the DS4 functioned.
2/3. I didn’t know that! Haha, I will check that part out when I get home tonight. That might work well for traveling if the Switch and the converter itself are plugged into a portable usb power pack. If that’s the case, I’ll definitely make an update vid about it! =)
I cannot update my Xbox 360/One to PS4 and my PS3/4 to Xbox One adapters. They haven’t been updated in a while. How can I tell what firmware version these adapters are currently running?
I tried updating them on my PC running windows 10 and on my surface pro running windows 8.1 but no luck. It just sits there and nothing happens. When I click on the image it states (program not responding). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I’ve experienced this and solved it by using a different USB port… I also make it a point to explicitly run the updaters as the Administrator just in case (I don’t know if it’s really necessary).
Just received my own XB360/XB1 to PS4 converter, and initially faced with problem of the stick not updating with a VIDPID error notification, switched to a USB2.0 port and it updated nicely. Tested on PC and PS4 with the XB1 Killer Instinct TE2 stick, and works beautifully, not a hint of noticeable lag. KBDs and EWGFs like clockwork. Good job, thumbs up to the guys at Brook! @“GOGO.Zippy” @Brook_Engineer
I’m trying to update the firmware on my PS3>PS4 converter for the first time. Every time, the update program just freezes and becomes not responsive after clicking the “Start” button. The gecko image doesn’t get colored in at all.
I’ve tried different USB ports, restarting the PC, downloading the file again, running the program as Administrator. Nothing changes. I did get the VIDPID error notification on the first attempt, but that went away after the drivers were installed. I’m running Windows 7 64-bit.
Windows sees the device as a “PS4 Controller” that is functioning properly. The blue light on the converter just stays solid blue the whole time. Any ideas?
The converter was working yesterday but was timing out after 8 minutes.
OMG dude, I’m have the same problem here too
It just freezes when I press start. I tried 3 differents PC’s, all the usbs and tried run as admin and nothing is working.
