Brook Converters Thread

Its not, because its not detecting the convertor [it lights up when i connect it though] - it gives a time out error
then says success, the program is just badly coded and always resolves to success, even if it hasnt.
Convertor doesnt work at all now on the ps4.

Zippy talked about the 201611 version, which has just been updated recently.
you have already tried this one, it ended up with a success screen, but it still doesn’t work on your PS4?

i will discuss with Zippy

sorry - yes. gonna try it now. Thanks
edit: same error, screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/cjomzbo3b/

thanks

That’s the same error message I get on my mac

Okay , given that Zero Delay usb encoders work on ps3 and in SF V on ps4 in “legacy” mode if you connect a button to “mode” on the ZD , would anyone care to guess if the ps3 to ps4 converter would work with a custom stick im making ???. The ZD board was said not to work with brooks but i couldnt find out if the “mode” method was tested or if more recent Brook firmware updates improved ZD compatibilty .

so both of you are running the 201611 version, n u have this timeout issue, but in the end, it still tells a successful message?
what is your mac system?

Yes, OSX EL Capitan

edit: this time, i waited 5-10 minutes after plugging in the USB then running the software,
and it started to update - i.e the chameleon colors up and the adaptor blinked, but at the very end it gave a different time out error,
please see :https://postimg.org/image/mtxecl6r7/

thanks

That’s exactly what happens with me. I get the error message and then it says update successful

The converter never even lights up tho

I just downloaded the version that’s on the website 20160912. I don’t know what version the converter currently has, I bought around SFV’s release and haven’t updated till now that I wanna play Marvel on PS4.

I’m running Sierra V 10.12

The latest one is 201611, V2.2.1.
Use this file to redo the update again.
Unplug and plug the converter back to the port again if this situation happens again.
You may switch another port.

Or, use a two head USB cable.
Plug the 2 heads to the 2 ports on Mac, and connect the converter to the USB cable.
Then execute firmware update.

Basically, when this timeout problem occurs, unplug the converter and plug it back to PC can fix the problem.

Brook, is it possible to update compatibility to the Power-A Fusion tournament ps3 pad using the white p3-p4 converter?

We have it and working fine

Now that Steam fully supports DS4, does that mean a stick using a PS4 converter (I have the 360>PS4) will be recognized and work natively?

Depends on the game it self

Sorry if this has been answered previously, but I haven’t been keeping up to date with this thread.

does anyone know if you can use the Xbox Elite on the PS4 wirelessly yet? I know a few months ago it was only compatible using the USB cable - has anything changed in this regard?

Nope. As of wtime of writing anything that would bring the Xbox Wireless to PS4 controls is going to introduce a bit of latency.

where are the mac downloads gone? http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/
you guys really need to sort out the firmware update process, they dont work at all !!! really frustrating

Assuming it works like the Steam Controller, you’ll configure the controller inside Steam, and the sure-fire method (although I don’t like it very much) is mapping all directions and buttons to keys (this way even if a certain game has no controller support you’ll be fine).

it still needs to be used wired
