Brook Converters Thread

Hey guys,

Sorry for the inconvenience for firmware download during these two days.
The problem has already been fixed, so you can download firmware and do update now.

Are there any chance that the new Xbox one controller (w/Bluetooth) could work in wireless mode with a PS4, just as the x360 one?

@carrom
We are going to test …

Thank you! :slight_smile:

@carrom
Both of Xbox one to PS4 & 360/Xbox one to PS4 don’t embed bluetooth chip … It’s terrible

Got a PS3 to PS4 converter today, don’t understand how to update it. There’s 2 things I can download on the site that are updates, but I don’t know what the difference is. I downloaded the tournament one, tried to run the update, and I keep getting ā€œthe program is not respondingā€. What am I supposed to do?

@Devdan
If it doesn’t have timeout issue on PS4, you don’t update anything.

It does though. I tried using it with the KoF demo and it worked but only briefly.

it’s just like what GOGO.Zippy said.
if you want to do it, there’s firmware update guide for you to download and read through
http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/

…ok, I didn’t even notice the other folder had an executable file in it. So, in order to update, I need to have a controller with a working L3 button? [edit] or so I thought! But apparently you can hold left on the stick and that works too. problem solved

Note #6 says don’t connect a controller/stick when you update (plug the convertor only into your computer) so no you don’t need a controller w/L3.

[edit] see below

ALright, Zippy set me straight. I was on the old firmware. like I thought, but apparently you can hold the stick left rather than pressing L3 and it works just the same. Not exactly an obvious detail, but w/e, I just played the KoF demo for like 15 minutes without any timeouts so it seems like it’s all good. :slight_smile:

@Devdan
Sound great and keep in touch

Sorry probably I didn’t explain well the request.

I just noticed that when you use ps3/4 controller with your many converters, you can use it also detaching the cable.

So I hoped that with new Xone controller it could be possible to use it too wirelessly.

Brook converters support Bluetooth wireless connection.
Xbox controllers are wifi wireless connection.

Thanks for your suggestion, we will evaluate the possibility in the future.

I just downloaded and applied the latest tournament ps3-ps4 (white) adapter update from here, and my adapter color when plugged in changed from purple (red+blue) to just blue. Did I maybe download the wrong link? This is what I clicked:

I wasn’t sure what version my adapter was at, so I did apply the 20160408 update, and then the 201607 one. The adapter works, but I’m worried a local tournament I’m going to this weekend will not accept my adapter if it’s not in tournament mode.

@Clef
Yes, please download it and only run 201607.
When updated successful in Tournament mode, the converter will turn red + blue lights

I don’t know if this has been covered before or if anyone else has a similar problem, but for some reason, my 360–>PS4 converter no longer seems to work. When I plug the converter into my PS4 or PC, the light comes on, but when I plug my TE stick into the converter, it no longer activates (the 360 button doesn’t light up) I tried updating the firmware as well, but I can’t do that either (probably because the controller isn’t being detected) Does anyone have any suggestions? I’d like to be able to use my TE stick with KOF 14.

@ZForceFFC
Please double check usb cable on your TE stick.
