Just putting this out there. Raida > mk cd > jump > mk, You can safe jump every dp except ken’s heavy dp (works midscreen only). you need to time it so the mk hits really low like at ryu’s knee. i use a visual cue for this, when the blue sparks from the Raida fade, i wait a split second then i mk cd. The reason you can safe jump the dp is cause you’re too far away from the 1st active frame(i believe) of the dp, however, ken’s heavy dp moves him forward so much that it hits you regardless.
So there’s this safe jump/OS that was real easy to do against Fei Long in Super and now I’m having a hard time with it. I saw it in a video here once but it was something like neckbreaker -> whatever to time -> Jump in (safe to 4f) and then OS ST.HK. She would block the flame kick if that came out, and then OS ST.HK to beat out the EX Chicken Wing if that was done on wake up. It was pretty easy to do in Super, but for some reason I’ve only gotten it to work once in AE.
Anyone remember what I’m talking about?
I remember that safe jump/os but i don’t remember what you should whiff to time it correctly after neckbreaker and i can’t test it right now.I think that it is f+lk>jhp+os.Another safejump/os against fei is:neckbreaker>whiff f+lk>jhp+os raida.Blocks the flame kick and beats the chicken wing plus you get an untech knockdown.
It was probably whiff cr.MK. But thanks to new neckbreaker timing, you probably have to whiff b+MP.
Upwards fireball from Sakura U2 is retarded big.
Unblockable/cross up Otoshi?
Cool.
Old information. Never played against a Sakura?
What’s the exact setup?
To be honest, I’ve actually never played against a solid sakura before. I’ve played against garbage people like uruseuii or whatever on XBL and there’s this kid that plays him here locally but he uses Ultra 1 (which I think is stupid). I also play a little Sakura but even then I wouldn’t even dare to go for some of these U2 attempts. Like the fireball isn’t hitting me most of the time lol.
I don’t remember the exact setup but it was as I was getting up. I’ll see if I still have it on log when I get home from work but we played a ton last night.
The deal with Sakura’s U1 vs U2 is that U1 does more damage (like a real ultra, whereas U2 is like Chun’s U2), but you don’t get as much okizeme afterward. Besides that, U2 is sometimes used as an antiair ultra but Sakura’s cr.HP is so gdlk already. Whichever you choose doesn’t make a big difference; you’ll likely be able to land either ultra almost every round anyways with the number of EX tatsus most Sakuras will be doing.
What U2 attempts are you talking about?
What are you supposed to do about Vega’s wall dive loop?
Doesn’t that loop only work in the corner? And can’t you just backdash or something? Or maybe raida lol.
Raida is too slow, DP gets grabbed. Definitely not corner only. I wonder if Vega’s can OS a grab/slash? Gonna check out the replay if I still have it.
Raida’s startup shouldn’t matter at all. It’s the fact that doing a raida makes you throw invincible for like 10 frames or whatever that should beat out the Izuna grab.
Too risky. I’m gonna see if I can get the backdash timed right to beat claw and grab.
Meh, too hard to replicate the scenario in training mode.
quick question… how come raida can grab ex spd from gief but not abel ex TT.?
Because EX spd is 2/2 (startup/active), raida is 6/5 and TT is 5/2. Try timing your raida later.
I could be wrong though, and maybe raida’s throw invincibility runs out before 11 frames.
Raida will work, just do it before the TT.
To be more specific, you should do it before the TT becomes active, but not so early such that your raida will just get blocked or whiff.
I tried doing ex tt recersal on wakeup and it grab her everytime.
Ex tt is hit in invincible
just use regular kazegiri instead, they are all throw invincible and probably easier to time… plus fadc able for only 2 meters.
