Blue blazes, he's AWESOME! The Nova Thread!

I think High Speed Tackle (Speed Tackle, Nova Beast Cannon, whatever) is gonna be the hyper to beat. Supposedly it’s invincible on start up and doesn’t consume red life like Gravimetric Blaster and PotNF. I think if you want a safe combo ender that’s the super to go for. And with Air X Factor it’s even more deadly. I only hope you can chain multiple High Speed Tackles together.

Chaining Nova Ping-Pongs would indeed be amazing, both aesthetically and gameplay-wise.

Annihilation is the way to go. One of the best Marvel (there for one of the best ever) events ever. I’d just go with the main story, fuck tie-ins… I’ve never liked them hahaha

Nova inferno looks like it will have OS applications.

So, I just got done messing around with Iron Man tonight as a simulation for Nova, and… my god. Most unintuitive normals ever. I think I get the basic idea, but please tell me Nova’s normals make more sense than Iron Man’s. Otherwise, it was a positive learning experience.

all i want to know at this point is whether he’ll be able to cancel his air normals into airdashes like mag/storm or not like thor.

give it a few months and I reckonthe lab team will have found s combo using most of his moves that lasts 20 seconds

wallbounce , god knows how many otgs , ground bounce , flight , fly canceling

i defo see shit with sjc javelin

add a few assist here and there n It’s going to hurt

bishop? people actually like this guy ? he has been the definition of a grade a asshole for a long time . Last time I saw him he was running about trying to kill a baby .

I agree with his absorb power going to ms Marvel , she has her legs out and she flies , win and win

I just watched that avengers trailer , why are marvel trying to shove that awful ultimate universe down our throats ,

lol I still remember after someone discovered she hulks TAC relaunch OTG, how many people jumped on the band wagon?!?!

Is Nova best on point, support, or anchor?

probably all 3

Annihilation,annihilation conquest,Nova ,Guardians of Galaxy,Thanos Imperative

Lool! The tie ins weren’t that bad.

So the nova inferno doesn’t have to drain red health? Awesome if that is true. Let’s hope seth was mixed up due to the different versions

I’m greatly against using him on point as I feel you can never get the most out of him in that spot. I think anchor is his best spot with support a close second.

It could still be possible that the health drain for Supernova wasn’t in that specific build - which has happened before. I’m going to stick with what he said until we get confirmation.

I just started reading comics like yesterday and found the Annihilation series through looking for Nova I am starting at Thanos - Samaritan and I am on 4 of 6 … I read like two of the Nova ones already before I found the rest of Annihilation. I wanna get the first Nova Comics to see how he got his powers in the first place (could you point me in the direction?)

why? You lose 100-200k (guessing) in one combo? He’s still a solid character that can hold his own on point, and with two assists have a beast frame trap rushdown. Plus if you get hit, then HEY you get red life to burn, and if your against that you can tag him out and let him heal.
Say I use him as an anchor and via random events he comes in with full health. Well your premium anchor just got devolved to point like status, and I don’t want an anchor that is in an inconsistent state of being good and not. I’d rather have a consistent character, that I know will be good, instead of relying on me just spamming the assist in hopes to get red health.

Who said anything about spamming his assist to get red health? That’s friggin beyond stupid. Beyond.

You get the most of out him as an anchor because as it looks, he’s not going to need much help getting in, he can OTG for days by himself from anywhere on the screen, and who cares about sacrificing red life when he’s your last character alive? Furthermore,it gives you flexibility to use x-factor earlier in the game if you see fit or save it for Nova to maximize his staying power. Use X-Factor to recover any red life and still get a strong power-up, then after it’s over they still have to deal with powered-up supers. That’s how you get the most out of his life bar.

Putting him on point does your opponent a huge favor. You either kill yourself sacrificing red life to power up your hypers or you don’t use them at all - either way you’re not getting the most out of him. Even more, once you establish you won’t be using certain tools, a smart opponent will take advantage.

You both make good points so I think I’m going to split the difference and run him second :stuck_out_tongue:

you say putting him on point is doing your opponent a favour by killing yourself , but don’t this apply to being anchor ,

say you use all your red health kill of that character and they still have 2 characters

you can’t gain it back by xfactor and you most likely can’t do it again

the opponent knowing you Wont beam super don’t mean much since you already have another full screen hyper with invinciblity to punish and if they get to confident ,DO IT catch em slipping ,

all you negatives about him on point are exactly the same as him as anchor

Did you really just write that?

If you’re down 3-1, you near boned anyway. Besides that though to avoid that situation you put him first, which is likely to put you at disadvantage anyway. Really?!

Also as anchor you wouldn’t blow your red life if you still had x-factor. You’d use x-factor first, which still allows you to use ANY super you want.

Do you guys have ANY sense of strategy?
