I recently placed third along with DaveyDave808 in a 2v2 team tournament here in Hawaii. Not bad for only playing this game once a week and still undecided on a main (although Iām still going to keep Blanka/Honda since I played them since vanilla).

We went on to make third place but got sent to losers by a Ibuki/Viper team and then peaced out by Dagger_G and his teammate. I donāt have much Viper/Guile experience (especially the way Shigz and Dagger_G plays their respective characters), so I was really unfamiliar with the matches.
Enjoy the videos in the channel and look for more to be uploaded in the future. Although he didnāt enter yesterdayās tournament, Josh P, who is a beast of a Blanka player will also be attending future tournaments.
I think the biggest things Iām noticing from watching that vid is the amount of accidental EX electricity, letting Ryu jump for free(which even the announcers think was free?) and non canceled cowards crouches.
I like baiting EX birds with cowards crouch though, Iām always a little scared to do that myself.
lol yeah I messed up in my pianoing of jab-electricity and accidental EX electricities. In our two other matches though my execution was on point. The two times we lost, execution fell apart for both of us. I know I could have done better and hopefully some of you guys can help me out on the dagger_g (guile) and shigz (viper) match. :nunchuck:

EDIT: Actually, after watching several vanilla matches, Iām starting to believe it really is mizoteru. I could swear he was much better than that though. Where are all the c.lp xx electricity blankas then? Clearly, Mizoteru doesnāt use them. AT ALL. And heās increadibly free on wakeup.

I think everyone has seen the topic I have made long time ago which is called āI canāt beat a good Kenā.
The main reason why I made this topic is because that was also the first time when I faced PunkJewdās Ken since I have never seen a Ken player before who is putting so much pressure on Blanka.Yesterday I played him again after almost 3 months and this time I played a little bit more patient and used more pokes while my mistakes in the past were that I never used any pokes and way too many random balls.Still,some mistakes here and there though:

Mizoteru doesnt use electricity pressure.Most matches that i have watched of his Blanka has consisted of very patient turtle tactics,which frustrates the hell out of his opponent,which results in them getting pissed off.I think he is awesome.If you think that he is incredibly free on wakeup, arrange to play him.Then come back,and post your thoughts.

thereās little bit of improvement from last timeā¦ but you still heavily rely on ball. Honestlyā¦ itās not like Iām telling you not to use any ballā¦ but youāre really limiting yourselfā¦ the only time you really use normalsā¦ like c.MP is when you use it to whiff then throw a ball out but you donāt really use his normals to attack other than jumping normal. Also the fact you use LP jump -> electricity combo makes me feel like you still havenāt gotten a grasp of the basic slide/piano into extricityā¦ if youāre using padsā¦ thatās just tough luckā¦ gotta figure your own methodā¦ but i remember someone mention jump MK+LP, c.MK+LP, HP gives your HP electricityā¦ this actually works well and this method donāt require any piano or slide method to get it outā¦ if you canāt do it.
I dunno if youāre gonna listen i saw that thread where lots of people was giving you some adviceā¦ i wasnāt sure is it because you donāt bother with itā¦ orā¦ they werenāt clear enough.
