Yeah, I was quite taken back by the Mizoteru match (perfected in 2nd round!). I have gotten to the point where I am actually pretty comfortable fighting Boxer and Sagat, and I feel Blanka’s hardest match could be a good Dhalsim. I was hoping to learn some stuff from this match, but alas…

blanka vs sagat matches
I like what you did against the Akuma. He wasn’t super tight on execution and didn’t play the match up particularly well but you did and that’s the point. You turtled well against a very offensive based character and you zoned him out of his fhk and links as well as well-placed slides (aside from the one that got hit into an ultra). Your friend did well against a Sagat who missed many links and was sloppy overall in execution. One thing that’s minor that I saw- stop sweeping after his piano electricity combo. The frames on that ending move is punishable and sagat could have punished. Overall, I liked his control play style and he didn’t make too many mistakes aside from a few rainbow rolls or predicatable EX blanka balls and the aforementioned sweep.
yeah in the midwest, we have some half decent players. thing is in tournys there is still a serious lack of matchup knowledge. execution under pressure is a weakness across the board. we have em every month so ill be uploading more hopefully better vids next time.

Ex or no ex, it can be punishable. I was hit every time I swept after my string by a very good Sagat player, ComboJack at a tourny. So, I think it’s any move, really. Also, Sagat’s fireball game is to lure a blanka to ex ball him from further than half screen so he can jab uppercut on reaction. That leads to a big combo if FADC.
Is there any character is all of sf4 that gets punished harder on a special HITTING?
