excuse the slow play, it was almost 4 in the morning on sunday and we hadn’t slept more than 4 hours since friday when we left england.
After this match i slept on he floor in the corner of the room whilst the tekken tournamnt was played out, 1.5 hours later i was woken up to play in the semis, lol, i ended up doing a rainbow roll that cost me a match because i hit the lk button with my ring finger on my left hand as i moved forward, river runs at point blank when going for electricity etc jeez, no more finals at 5.30am for me i can’t play when i’m half asleep! Saying that its a good match vs honda which i could have won if i wasn’t so mashed, but then again my friend who plays honda was tired too so it works both ways!
to the guy above, what sort of user name is tht? anyway vs gief, generally speaking, dont full screen ball, dont jab ball > throw and dont try and cross him up.
vs rose, learn to hold your own in footsies, try vert jump before her slide, and you need to tick throw rose a lot when they block your crossups like that guy was.
Dont cannon ball into bite vs gief. Good giefs will make you pay.
Dont rainobw ball unless he lariats or EX out of corner.
Crouch Strong all of Giefs Jump ins.
Standing or Crouching Fierce all of his pokes.
And run for 99 seconds. Free Win.
Dont bother crossing up. Good Gief will crush you.
Mullah, whoever records your videos is hilarious to listen to. He does have good commentary though.
Some of my vids, all from same tournament.
( I fought 3 chuns in a row :l )

well i’ll lost vs zak, so not very well i guess. its difficult when throw attempts don’t work and the player has reactions quick enough to stop all your offense. If i had landed the multiple crumple xx ultras i might have put up a better fight but you really have to get maximum damage off every opportunity and you have to GO for the crumple to open up their defense. imo. in 2 months i might have completely changed my mind and i’ll be telling you to turtle turtle turtle.
well no just when i was watching your match i kept saying to myself ‘why doesn’t he just grab her?’. if you get a crossup, instead of doing st.lp x elec, go for a throw
I have no excuses, I fuckin blew it
but If I am to have a smarmy defense
The stick I played on was the first time I ever played on it…
don’t ask why, that describes my whole weekend at evo…
Yes
the chun li ultra hits the low rh
thats pretty well known, I was just gettin too offensive, but I know the chun match really well, local player in hi can do pretty much anything with her, so I like the match.
There are more matches from HIVideogamingleague on youtube, the chun li, Tim, is really good, couple matches of him there, he also has a sick gen.
Everyone else in hawaii is also good, if you want more matches of my blanka against a variety of people, check out that youtube page.
very nice match with chun li & balrog! In the end, I thought it was gonna chip him to death. what a CLOSE match! You have a really good blanka :smokin:
Wow, those are some fast fingers you have to be able to get c. lk -> fp elec so consistently. I can do lp -> fp elec consistently, but have never been able to get the c. lk -> fp elec consistently. What buttons/method are you using for that?
Also, have you tried implementing option select tech throw (c. lk) -> fp elec? On second thought, that may not be useful as you would probably need to hit/block confirm the c. lk, or you may end up getting punished during the start up frames of the elec.
