Black woman enters supermarket, Koreans flee in horror

(A pox upon you, Faith from Hell.)

I’m not sure which direction of this thread I should roll my eyes at more: the whole Egyptian “debate” or all the anecdotal “evidence” being applied like it objectively either further condemns or absolves (South) Koreans.

The absurdity of both makes it pretty damn difficult to decide.

No one.

We “Black people” emanate a natural fear aura that people just eventually get used (maybe). Given how little a lot of people in Asian countries see “Black people”, it’s no wonder these particular people quaked with fear when Ms. Anubis strode in.

^ we have dat Roah shit? Negative stereo types are a big part of it as well.

I call it “the cooties.” And someone spread the word.

and we though the south was bad trollface

It’s only a matter of time before Korea starts lynching. Perhaps it’ll bring N.Korea and S.Korea together.

Yeah…how can you tell? English is a required subject in South Korean high schools and they can understand it just fine, even if they speak it with an accent. Don’t you find it odd that they’re attending an American college and didn’t want to interact with your or the 95% of students who weren’t Koreans?

Did you ever attempt to speak to and get to know any of these Koreans? How were you received by them? (I’ve mentioned my own experience in that regard above; a far more minor version of what happened to the Kenyan lady in the story)

Maybe you should try reading peoples’ posts before responding to them;

“At one point, I was getting dinner and saw a group of five Korean guys sitting with that one Korean girl who had lived in Oregon. ** I had never met any of those five Korean guys before**, but knew one of them from my chemistry lab class. I decided that it might be a good idea to sit down there and introduce myself to them. As soon as I sat down, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE GUYS, without uttering a word to one another, picked up their trays and left. (The girl was the only one who remained) They did this the moment I sat down. One of the fuckers even smirked.”

This was their reaction to a guy (myself) they had never met.

Even if you suggest it was something about my appearance or whatever, it wasn’t just me. It was this way with every freaking white or non-Korean (Chinese, too!) that tried to get to know the “Korean club” as we called them.

When no one from a certain ethnic group likes anyone from different ethnic groups it’s called “racism”.

Speaking of which, did you grow up in the US yourself?

What exactly is wrong with using evidence from one’s own eyes and life experience, again? Especially when it doesn’t involve one person, but over 50 of them?

If an older black guy were to tell you about the racism he experienced from many whites in the 1960s, would you dismiss him for being foolish and using “anecdotal evidence”? That’s what you are doing here.

this is a seriously scary ass story.
grown ass men were gonna beat u down when u were only a 6 year old kid!?!?

shameful.
humanity is nature’s only true mistake.
this is why i stay indoors.
also,
are u black, white, latin…?

@SlayerofBodom…i’m just screwing with u brother. i’m a troller here. are u new?
yunno,…this experience you had may also due to the fact that in the u.s., the culture here is to bring the “old world” into the new world/america.
because in south america…no one cares about bringing every single cultural trait along with them into south america.
they don’t celebrate or care about old world nonsense in south america.

for example, here, there’s different parades “celebrating” cultural ancestry and backgrounds of its citizens.
while in south america…no one gives a damn where u originally came from.
u won’t find stuff like colombus day or st patricks day parades…or people feeling the need to keep the language they were speaking before they immigrated to south america.
for the most part.
like for example, argentina…1/3rd of argentinians are descended from italians…italians who immigrated there in the middle of the 19th century. argentine spanish has a accent that sounds like when a italian is trying to speak spanish, better put,…spanish with italian accent.
and guess what…no one cares!!!
no one cares in argentina that their ancestors are from italy.
maybe cuz,…it doesn’t matter.
and i hear 1/4th of peruvians have asian/chinese ancestry due to so many chinese immigrating to peru during the gold rush of the 19th century.
and guess what,…they don’t care that they have asian ancestry either.
my point is that in this country,…where people worship their old world ancestral backgrounds…they end caring about things that don’t really matter…like race for example.
i’m not saying there isn’t rascism or creedism or nationalism or classism in south america…but its nothing compared to the old world. or u.s/canada,…and the few non-spanish countries in caribean, and northeastern section of south america.
so,…perhaps the Koreans from korea u experienced are being influenced by their enviornment (here in the states) just as much as their preconceptions about the different people of the world while they were in korea beforehand.
cuz if those s.koreans where in lets say…buenos aires, argentina…maybe they would loosen up about associating with the non-korean people around them thanks in part to the more looser society regarding backgrounds.
if that makes any sense to u.
if my post made any sense since i’m speed typing while watching bloodsport en espanol.
chong li! chong li! bolo yueng mang. damn awesome villian in that flick.
shakira…her dad from lebanon…
she’s colombian…
and spics don’t care where the fuck her dad is from or what her ancestry is.
she’s a new worlder.
thats all.
and shes hot…and thats all that matters.
btw, the korean chicks that were at my school…were hot as hell.
if i coulda socialized with em…i’d bang like crazy.

I am black. Now that I think about it I was on a huffy so I was probably 7 or 8. I just remember doing so many things when I was young.

Hey, that is scary stuff. I sat in a McDonalds for 45minutes waiting for my girlfriend to get off work and my dick was hanging out a hole in my pants I didfn’t know was there. I couldn’t understand why the women across from me was staring at me. 45 minutes and not one person thought to say to me “hey! put your dick away I’m trying to eat and I don’t want to put things in my mouth while looking at your dick!”

The whole Black Egyptians thing is a…"thing."

Black people in America don’t view themselves as having a particularly specific history, to the point where I would guess the overwhelming majority of Black Americans couldn’t tell you which country their pre-American ancestors came from, much less the history of that country. On top of that, Egypt is by far the country with the deepest and best-known history in Africa, and one of the most important cultures of the ancient world.

So a lot of Black Americans have an affinity for Ancient Egypt, and this is sometimes intensified by feelings of ambivalence or negativity towards America, or the current state of Black America, etc. So given the history of Black America with regards to socially accepted or government-approved or state-instituted racism and discrimination etc, people began to talk about how Egyptians were not only African, but they were Black, in the colloquial American usage of the word with regards to race. This is similar to a Black Jesus thing, or the theory being floated earlier in the thread that sparked this whole “debate” about how the “real” Jews were Black, etc.

See bellow:

…etc.

The irony being that just like Renaissance art of biblical and historical figures can be inaccurate because they were created by Europeans and filtered through cultural conceptions and ideals, there is a sub-subculture in Black America which attempts to “blackwash” historical and biblical figures, with their justification being that they are righting a wrong. And the whole matter is complicated further by the fact that some people in ancient Egypt certainly were black, and/because they had contact with so many of their African neighbors.

TL;DR- There was a racial draft, and Black people claimed Ancient Egypt.

It’s a socialist redistribution of heritage. The Middle-Easterners have more than they need, so they should give ancient Egypt and the ancient Israelites to the blacks, to make everything more equal.

The thing is there were other great black civilizations throughout Africa (and the world) so it’s not like black people are desperately clinging to Egypt for any sort
of historical relevance.

The problem is there is a strong racial undercurrent in the overall controversy which makes it hard for people to look at things with a dispassionate eye. Often people who argue that ancient Egypt was black, are radical pro-black extremists (like the guy who uploaded the video below.) This makes it easier for people to scoff in the face of evidence (and there is a lot of it).

And it’s somewhat telling that black Egypt naysayers are 9 times out of 10 white (some even claim ancient Egypt was white), and often racist as well. Where are all the arab people claiming Egypt was a great arab civilization? Let’s look:

Denial of racism is in of itself, inherently racist.

Given that history departments are dominated by middle-class white people, it’s inevitable that black Egyptian naysyaers are nearly always white. That’s just demographics.

And I want to hear about all these people who think the ancient Egyptians were white (I assume you mean “white” as in “European looking”, rather than meaning “Caucasoid, according to discredited 19th century racial classifications”). I’m aware that many historians thought this in the past, but isn’t this kind of thinking now limited to stormfags and a few cranks? I have a hard time believing that any significant number of half-serious scholars still think that in the 21st century.

and the ‘black egypt’ proponents are usually black

it’s funny because skin color was apparently a non-starter back then, no one really cared. but today it’s super important!!!

The story doesn’t strike me as as far fetched at all. I can easily see this happening to a Black woman walking into a local market in Korea. A bunch of insecure uneducated country folk who don’t know any better? Not surprising. However that wouldn’t happen in a night club which would have younger people more familiar with western culture. Nor would it happen at the office of a company that conducts international business, since the employees would be well-educated.

Asian nations in general don’t have a positive view of Black people, primarily because they got their first opinion from Americans and Europeans who thought very little of Black people. The first Americans to come to Japan had a bunch a sailors dress up in Black face to do minstrel shows for entertainment. The West basically exported their racist stereotypes and bias, and with nothing else to go by Asian nations have sucked it up. Obviously not all people in Asian countries are like that, but there isn’t much to expect from some ignorant person who has literally NEVER seen a Black person before, or maybe the only thing they’ve seen is negative stereotype in a movie.

I mean, what do they have to go by…Mr. Popo?

As for all this Egyptian Stuff? Long Story short? Egypt is in Africa. The Ancient Greeks described the Ancient Egyptians as being Black skinned. That seems pretty straightforward forward to me. Guys who were walking around back then strike me as a little more credible than modern scholars. Based on the sheer variety of the features and skin tones in statues and paintings, Ancient Egyptians weren’t “Black” in the sense of being 100% Nubian, but “Black” in the same sense as Modern Afro-Americans; a mixed race group. The Egyptologists that assert the Ancient Egyptians weren’t Black, would not consider a Brown or lighter skinned Afro-American “Black” for the purposes of their argument. This is noteworthy, because brown and lighter skinned African Americans can easily blend in Northern African countries, which are considered Arabic.

Yo, man, Mr Popo is a Star Role Model.

The ancient Greeks had a very different concept of race from modern Westerners. Bear in mind that they often viewed people like the Indians as being black as well, that many Europeans used to describe the Arabs as black, and that not all Greeks claim that the Egyptians looked like other Africans. Alexander the Great’s biographer said:

And what would be wrong with saying that many “African-Americans” are not black? It’s only because of old-fashioned racist ideas that someone who is half black and half white is called “black”. Barack Obama is as much white as he is black, and would surely stick out like a sore thumb if he visitied his father’s homeland.

I don’t see how this was racist.

I was on a boat and a black woman was getting on and I JUMPED OUT. She looked like Frieza and I thought she was going to destroy the whole planet.

It wasn’t racism because it wasn’t because she was black.

what he’s trying to point out is nubians creating the essence of the sciences (greek philosophers being taught in egypt) and egyptian kings and high priests being more akin to a black man (according to egyptian statues and art iv seen plenty of times near where I live) and history changing a lot of facts like the oldest statues of buddha looking nubian but then assimilating different features as his knowledge passed through the ages

that’s all
