Present all over the world? Bullshit. Through high school, my college, and workplace I have met dozens of people from virtually every country in Europe and Asia. By far the most racist and xenophobic towards those from a different race/country were the Koreans. It wasn’t even close. Read my first post above.

Koreans: I never understood why they are so hated. I have chinese and japanese friends who are quick to say they are the most underhanded and vindictive group to ever walk the earth (and I cleaned that up). Never understood it because my exposure to them never lead me to think such a thing. When I would say that to the people with the anti-korean sentiment, I was told out because I was a (light skinned) female. To this day I still keep in contact with my closest korean homie and he even introduces me to his gfs (he was actually at comicon…which was hilarious because he told his gf I was the only person he still knew from 15 years ago and to ask every thing she wanted to know right then and there). Koop met him as well. he even has a number of people who throws him in that category of being untrustworthy. I haven’t seen him do anything a white person hasnt done.
FYI anytime a white country went to war with the chinese, japanese, koreans, or the vietnamese they told them black people had tails. Look it up.

Dude, I was not even remotely implying anything about all Koreans. That would be really stupid. Only that among the few dozen Koreans I’ve met who lived their first 18 years in South Korea, the vast majority were really racist towards any non-Koreans to a far greater extent than people I have met from any other country.
I even specifically noted that this isn’t true for Koreans who immigrated to the US at a much earlier age, and among whom I count several of my friends.
If you lived in South Korea before attending college and have nothing against other races, great. But based on a reasonably large sample size, this doesn’t appear to be true for many other such people…
Believe it or not, I’ve also heard stories of English language teachers warning Koreans that should they ever go abroad to be aware of black people as they steal.
Well, it sucks that you had to meet those types. The Koreans I’ve met there, as well as in Japan during my stay there, have never said anything remotely close to racist or derogatory to people of other nationalities.

It’s not about “saying”. Most of the Koreans I mentioned above did not go around telling one another how much they hated whites, blacks, and every other non-Korean they come in contact with at my college. They didn’t have to. Their actions belied their feelings, and ultimately, I judge people by their actions, not their words.
When it comes to Asian cultures in general, far more of them will shun/dislike other races than those that will actually verbalize this sentiment in public. Whereas in Western cultures, you’re far more likely to hear similar racists spouting off their hateful rhetoric.
Sadly, I think that’s true of any discussion of race/culture nowadays, not just in this topic. Although I skipped a lot of replies and am also curious why people started talking about Egyptians…

the college i went to, pratt institute, early 90s, there were a ton of koreans from seoul too…but i never sensed anything like that…from any of them, they did keep to themselves, but that was mostly the language barrier, not rascism persay.
but my college was an all art school.
so, maybe it was that.

it may be the classes more than the race that matters in your situation.
like, if the school specializes in law, accounting or political science…somehow i don’t think accounting majors and sculptors are hanging out and passing a fatty on the campus lawn, singing hippie songs and such.
or if they are ultra conservative law students, i don’t think they will be like open minded and free thinking like an artistic crowd…like painters n sculptors don’t give a fuck who’s who & what’s what.
