What do you mean by move backwards? Fashion works like this:
-Fashion Elite (high ranked fashion editors, journalists, designers, fashionistas, modeling agencies & casting directors) see something or create something and push it that season
–It begins to appear at the top of the fashion food chain ie: very well established or reputable brands
—slowly starts to trickle down to the average consumer and cheaper brands (sometimes its already old by then)
FOR INSTANCE: Leather is very big right now. But Leather was already being done Spring 2012, just to show you how fashion already dictated what people are wearing now. Leather only seems bigger now because its now turned into faux leather and affordable leather for the average consumer to purchase. Leather sweatpants, leather shorts, leather tanktops, leather baseball caps, leather skirts, leather t-shirts are going to be everywhere this fall. Along with classical Greek, Egyptian and roman mythology. Burgundy and emerald green/military print will also be big this fall.
To be honest I dont know much about Ferragamo, they havent done much since the early 2000s. I’m saying that even at 350 its a Ferragamo belt and thats not a particularly blue chip fashion house at the movement. I’m basically saying its not worth the money in season or out of season right now. Especially if you have to save up your money for it. Now people are free to buy whatever that want, but again you’re defeating the purpose because you cant buy high fashion and decide thats its okay to wear it out of season, that means you are inover your head and need to learn a little more about the clothes you put on your back and what kind of industry you are supporting.
If you mean fashion trends that go out of style then come back around, you dont really want to hold something in your closet for 6-7-8-9 years waiting on it to re-surge back into mainstream.
The picture of me in the selfie thread I have on a 750 dollar Givenchy shirt. Well it was 750 at the tim I’m sure you can find it somewhere on sale for 300 bucks. I got to wear it twice before it was out of season, now it will sit in a velvet bag in my closet collecting dust for at least the next few years until its okay to wear “vintage” Givenchy. Thats just how fashion works and if you cant afford stuff like that you shouldnt buy it.
When I was younger it didnt make sense but thats how it really is. Here today gone tomorrow. Brands like True Religion and 7 For All Mankind…where are they now? Being sold in department stores thats where. Welp. Heres a clip that pretty much sums up what I just wrote from the new fashion movie bible:
How is something like this news in the first place? A young black male roused suspicion by spending a lot of money on some thing frivolous.
Racism still exists??
Yes. The other day, I saw on the news that a mother had sent her child to school with some candy, and that the teacher said she couldn’t eat it. On the news, I saw that.
Next time a thread like this pops up, I’m going to save everyone the trouble with a pre-emptive summation:
bitch please. If you need high end brands to look good, you are doing it wrong, so as long as you match the countours of your body, and buy things that match subtlety you don’t need high end brands. Fucking scrub thinking that armani exchange / vercacce is going to make you look good, bitch get some real class. the only thing high end brands make you look like is some gucci mayne reject bro fucker.
And because video games is the only thing that one could possible buy right? fucking moron, I could buy performance breaks, intakes, exhaust, etc. I could buy a god damn computer with that shit, or a nice bicycle, some tools, perhaps some software or hardware. GTFO with your bullshit, fucking moron calling another person a nerd, bitch you on SRK.
lol, keep the bold in mind, please do, don’t forget to keep the bold in mind, trust me, it will literally blow your mind
Yes it is, our country is based on the merit of equality, therefore profiling of any kind is unconstitutional and wrong. Just because a certain group tends to do certain things doesn’t mean that there needs to be profiling to ensure that it doesn’t happen. This person in question was on the recieving end of my supposed extreme.
Blacks tend to be poor and steal, ergo he can’t afford this ergo he did something wrong most likely stole the money, let me call the police.
Or what this isn’t an extreme?? Profiling is only used in extremes, there is no middle ground and because profiling goes against the very culture of what this nation is supposed to be based on, it’s inherently bad and shouldn’t be used.
whatever, psychologist, psychiatrist, all psuedo science crap. A psychiatrist doesn’t study biochemical interactions regarding the brain, that’s a neuro scientist. It’s you who needs to educate yourself
and a doctor doesn’t profile me, he diagnoses what’s wrong and then guesses the best course of action based on the available data. The only fields that use profiling are economics, psychology, sociology etc. The “sciences” that study human constructs. At least my soft sciences teachers have all had the decency to admit that what differentiates soft science from hard science is the amount of profiling and generalizations. You could learn to do the same.
gpgood because then it woudl have saved you from the emberasment that was your last attempt at fucking math and science.
If you had the money to afford the clothes you wouldnt be bashing the clothes. Everybody is holy and rational when they make less than 100k a year. If you have an extra 6-7thousand a month then it would be nothing for you to buy a 600 dollar pair of jeans.
And another thing, all the clothes you see on a runway arent necessarily made to be worn, designers usually follow a theme and when the pieces come out they end up being altered for wear (ready to wear) or the more extravagant pieces are made purely for art collectors/lady gaga (haute couture)
Every designer isnt for every person. Some designers are know for their shapes and loose fits, others are known for being skin tight and showing off curves, others are known for their excellent stitching or patters etc etc. It all depends on who you are and what you like. Some designers are sexy, others are nerdy and cooky.
All I see is a bunch of ignorance towards fashion aka things gamers arent interested in so they try to bash those who are and end up looking dumb in the process.
SMH. U no longer have any right to question anyone’s intelligence. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard somebody say on here. Keep it up! You’re providing me with some early morning lolz.
That kind of reminds me, anyone ever heard of Brother Sharp, that homeless man in China who shot to fame for his questionable fashion sense? Basically people can be homeless and still look like they just walked off the fashion runway.
[details=Spoiler]Brother Sharp (犀利哥) is the nickname given to Chen Guorong, a homeless man from the streets of Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang province. The man became a national celebrity for his undoubtedly handsome face in February 2010 after a photograph of him wandering the streets was uploaded online. Eventually, the Chinese netizens tracked down and located the man through the means of Human Flesh Search Engine.
Origin:
On the morning of January 30th, 2010, a photographer took his new Sony video camcorder to Tian Yi Square and decided to try out the new lens by shooting street scenes for the photography community forum Fengniao. The photographer, Mr. Tu, captured a few shots of a homeless man, who he said was “bearing dignification” as he walked down the busy streets.[/details]
I’m assuming that’s all you picked out. Have you not seen what people wear and pick out from their catolouges? It’s rarely their normal casual looking stuff, and if I where to wear the casual stuff, it sure as hell wouldn’t be those over priced brands. High end fashion brands are stupid and overmarked in general, these aren’t top tier suits or top tier shoes.
but hey if wanna look gucci mane, that’s on you tyga
I appreciate the sentiment, especially since it shows you took the time to come to those conclusions. I often ask myself the same question when you post in other threads as well.
