Sounds like a pretty big nerf if it’s true.
I’m actually not certain how much it matters. Continuing to zip all the way to the ground would make you land faster and do faster moves than j.S, so I’m not sure you couldn’t still do a midscreen relaunch, it would just look different. We’ll have to wait and see.
Hello guys, just picked up spencer recently but I must say dude is incredibly awkward to play, I have absolutely no idea where to start with him so I decided to come here. Just a few questions to get me started is all, 1. How does one mount an offense with spencer? I play him on anchor so he usually has no assists to back him up and I generally just have no idea what to do. How is his command grab btw? It seems pretty darn shitty and the fact I’ve never seen anyone use it in a match makes me think it just sucks. Second question is, whats his basic bnb? Atm I go for a magic series into launcher air magic series otg arm grapple before I hit the ground(since Im not consistent with my tk’s) but I don’t know how to follow that up.

they fall way faster than spencer though, it’s weird
How come more spencers don’t use the swing grapple to get in? i use task so the arrows protect him really well even if they block your attack you can cancel that attack into the swing wire and keep the pressure on. I’ve just started to work this more into my game just wondered what you guys thought about it.

While they’re in that stagger-like state, they’re throwable. Simple as that.
I’ve heard that overhead into armor piercer is supposed to be a 1 frame link, but theres just no way. Its so easy to hit. Not even 2. Maybe 3 through 5.
It’s absolutely a 1-frame link. But MvC3 automatically repeats motions that don’t cause anything to happen for 4 frames, so you can time it a bit before the frame it needs to happen it and it’ll still happen on that frame.
The same reason I don’t use a horizontal zip line + assist; it’s very easy to throw and the throw animation makes the assist call useless. Diagonal zip is the safest approach if you have an assist that properly covers it.

Zero’s pre-match Buster charge has had me almost as concerned as his making every damn special safe with Buster. Guess it’s time to come up with match openers to get around it/waste the shot with Spencer. Any of you guys got ideas?
well you could try blocking. I’m a zero player as well as spencer. just because zero is going to start with a red buster doesn’t mean he’s going to fire it at the start of the match. but it is nice having that threat.
After a wall bounce going into bionic arm, why am I having troubles connecting it when I’m at full screen distance from the wall bounce? Am I doing it too late or what?
