Best Ultimate Tech Talk Hang Out Loud Edition season VI, RIP MarkMan's #BeardStache

I want an analogue twin stick so that i can play fight night champion with it instead of using thumb sticks on the ds3

Got extended another client contract through July 31st. Celebrated by buying a Hwawei smartwatch off of Amazon and spent $95 on the PC version of Granblue.

You know how expensive that is?

So forgot to post this on TT earlier, but their someone working on a PS1 FPGA Core
The dude here is aiming for a PS1 MiSTer core, and we might see development elsewhere as well if the guy releases his source code.

The Neo Geo Mini is at itā€™s lowest price yet $29.99

I owned myself so hard here.

Thats actually wrong, categorically. There no such thing as a Japanese or US Rom.
Its the Bios not the game that sets the region, and if the game in MVS or AES mode.

The negeo mini is good price but just a bit too small for my giant hands, would be too uncomfortable to use

If that capcom home arcade stick price tumbles i would snag one, currently down to Ā£170, ill bite at Ā£50, then its worth the buttons and sticks minimum

Got it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I realize I need to update my one guide on iFixit

Fighting Commander coming to the Switch

Interesting.
I donā€™t see myself using it much, but since I love my Switch a ton, I might consider getting one of these for kicks.

Got this a week ago, painless install, and so far so good with gaming on the Switch and PC with it!

They give you a big enough anti-static bag and bubble padding to store your original Saturn padā€™s PCB and cord safely too! :+1:

Nice!
Iā€™ve been meaning to try those out; I have a PS1 controller shell where the cord has been gutted (it was damaged, so I removed it to make a multi-console cable), so itā€™s tempting to put in one of those 8BitDo replacement PCBs to use the controller forā€¦ not sure what. I donā€™t even use non-analog controllers much anymore. If thereā€™s no need to use an analog stick, might as well use an arcade stick instead.

What about them 3 and 4 button fighters ( or MKā€™s mash the middle button to block LOL )?

Got pwned again, @FreedomGundam Orz

3/4 button fighters I use Short-Jab-Strong-Fierce on my sticks.

For MKā€¦ Thereā€™s always my ABS Modular:

Ordered a panel for my HRAP4 Kai from Jasens. New buttons are on their way from ArcadeShock.

Waiting until I have both before I swap those out.

Bought a Retrobit repro pad and stuck this board inside. Itā€™s now my on-the-go Switch pad. I also have a BT M30 but I keep going back to this one instead. Itā€™s awesome.

Would I swap this board into an OG/legit/working Saturn pad? Probably not, unless the original board was already toast. An M30 would fit the bill without a ritual Saturn sacrifice

I kind of wish that 8BitDo would release a 6-face-button controller, but also have analog sticks.
Likeā€¦ if the M30 and SN30 Pro had a love child.
That would satisfy my need for a fighting-pad, but also something versatile enough for other non-fighting games as well.

Retrobit teased one of those a while back. Ergonomics on that photo looked pretty meh. Supposedly (per their Instagram) they will be releasing a slew of new products when the world stops ending (hopefully around PS5 launch). Perhaps this might be on the roster.
