+1 for eStarland. I’ve been to their store and they’re pretty chill. They even hosted a couple of local events for fighting games for a while before realizing that normal business hours isn’t really compatible with fighting game event hours.

Can you share a link where Voultar stated not liking PWR+ power bricks? Bob cites Voultar testing the DreamPSU and telling us to use “good power adapters,” but never shared any examples. Thx

Terraonion just announced “Mode,” an ODE board for both Saturn and Dreamcast. It supports SATA and USB media for $200 a pop.
While excited, after the announcement was over I kinda stopped and said…maybe I’ll wait for the second batch of boards LOL.
Crazy what a shitty launch (SSDS3) can do to curb enthusiasm for what is obviously (on paper) the best ODE for these consoles.

Did Terraonion ever went back and actually fix the issues with the SSDS3?
They did. Kinda. They offered to upgrade rev1 customers to rev2. Dunno if they replaced ALL of them though. For the savvy, there are vid and audio bypass boards.
Some peeps still report audio noise with rev2. I don’t see any video noise complaints on the new boards.
Still buying when they come back in stock.
EDIT: pre-ordered two Modes b/c (1) menus w/ graphics and (2) YOLO!
Yeah I had to bite, a drag and drop for files sensible ODE for the Dreamcast and Saturn with a good graphical interface is too good to pass up, especially as it has compatibility with a wide range of file formats and covers both versions of the Saturn.
And holy shit they listen to people’s criticisms (like me) and fixed their payment system.
