Not my ad, but this is pretty cool.
Picked up a RAP4 Kai for $120 at Microcenter, and Iām planning on turning it into my travel stick. First thing I wanted to pick up was a UFB, but thereās not a dedicated install guide or video for a install.
Also planning on eventually reassembling my Obsidian and starting the process to convert it to a Hitbox. Gotta get that last Samducksa button out without fucking my hand up again.
I am going for both.
I got the Woozle Kit on preorder and just waiting on Jason to send them out.
I have a GBA 001 with a AGB 101 installed.
And I will probably pick up the Analogue Pocket
Yeah, Iām now considering doing the GBA SP with FunnyPlaying IPS screen mod again, especially since itās pretty cheap overall.
Iāll probably pass on Woozleās GBA Consolizer since that oneās a little on the pricier side of things.
You know I have to post pics once I get it in and finish the mod.
First impressions on the RAP4 Kai / Hayabusa stick and buttons:
The Hayabusa stick is very loose compared to my Crown 309MJ, and Iām already eyeing the purchase of a Otto DIY kit. The buttons are nice, but Iām debating switching the Hayabusa buttons for some OBSFE buttons and a plain 24mm OBSF button for the start button.
Compared to my Obsidian, thereās a lot less in customization options for the RAP4 without physical modifications to the panel or just buying a new panel entirely.
took my time installing my Otto DIY kit, went for the 60 tension right off. My Hayabusa feels a lot better.
I love the Otto DIY v2 kit. I bought it for my Obsidian to serve as my all-around stick, since I plan to use it for Tekken (hence the v2 mod) but also other traditional fighters. I experimented with lots of custom setups for my v2, but ultimately liked the default setup (40a grommet + .9lb spring) the most due to its low tension.
I dabbled with ButterOJās springless mod too and really liked how it felt using the 60a grommet (40a didnāt give enough tension to make the joystick playable), but the 60a grommet has just a tad too much tension for my taste. I thought about purchasing JasenCustomās 50a grommet to try with the springless setup ā but didnāt bother since I figure it would feel similar to the default setup anyway.

Hello Everyone,
Today is Tek-Innovations.comās closing. Due to various hardware/web technical issues in the past several months, and among other various factors, we have made a decision to close down our business.
It has been a great 10 years servicing the FGC, and we greatly appreciate everyoneās support. We couldnāt have gone as far as we did, without you, and it has been a wonderful journey. Thank you!
All current remaining orders will be fulfilled within the regular time-frame. Our email (art@tek-innovations.com) will still be open to accept questions, but only for those relating to current orders.
Once again, Thanks very much!
Arthur H.

presses F to pay respects
On a happier note, I think it may be finally time to take the pilgrimage to Japan. Currently eyeing going in late 2020/early 2021.
Damn, that sucks regarding Tek-Innovations. Theyāve become such a household name here in Tech Talk and the FGC.
My brother got one from them many years ago and loves it to death; Iāve been telling myself that I wanted to get a casing from Art for a personal project, but the USD-CAD exchange rate has sucked recently and Iāve been holding off due to that. I guess I wonāt be getting that Tek-case. :\
finally pulled that last Samducksa button out of my Obsidian. Now Iām planning on starting fresh and probably turning it into a Hitbox.
Happy Birthday Marines
Oorah!

Basically what this AEGIR brazilian website proposes is a contactless magnetic sensor PCB for their rebranded happ super clone, either in a kit with said chinese clone, or as a spare.
Taking a closer look we see a BUZZER implemented in the circuit here:
The idea of having audio feedback to make up for the lack of any feedback whatsoever with contactless sensing joystick PCBs was already proposed here on SRK some time ago, but honestly, a BUZZER can only be the worst possible application of this idea. I can guarantee you a buzzer is not going to give a satisfactory audio feedback noise if you want to have something on par with the clicking from traditional snap microswitchesā¦
Otoh, the website doesnāt give any guidelines nor any disclaimers whatsoever concerning the kit and the spare pcb.
Thereās gotta be some forum setting by the admins to automatically lock threads older than X-years when there hasnāt been any new activity on it.
I hear ya. Also a search of previous topics before posting would be nice too in order to clear up a lot of these simple topics.
Especially when the guy who necroed a years old and inactive thread offers nothing of value.
But even if there was new info of value, you can just create a new thread and link the old one āContinuing from this old discussion from years ago, as seen [here]ā¦ā
