The pop-up cross idea (actually, I guess it’s pop-down diagonals)? Seems kinda gimmicky. I just hope that in either position it works more reliably than the current dpad. No more accidental diagonals, pretty please.
Also funny that they pushed their prescribed 4-color button scheme on Hori and MadCatz right before abandoning it for neutral-colored buttons.
This obviously has to be rectified. Threads will have to be deleted, memories erased, people made to cease to disappear, the space time continuum shifted back into its proper place.
This is the begging of RT’s “Frankenfight pad” occult era, it’s viral. I’ve seen it on a couple of forums already that’s not even related to fighting games.
I like the frankenpad. It’s pretty cool for the dpad players I know who like to use their hands like it’s a pushbutton and play with fingers instead of thumbs. But I don’t like the idea of the converse stick/pad buttons. If you wanted to play with thumbs, you’re going to NEED the 3P/3K buttons. Maybe you could use start and the trigger as 3P/3K, but the positioning would be a little awkward to tap start on the fly. And if you’re going to play it with your fingers, you might as well give yourself some good buttons and just get a regular joystick.
Hey Twinkle, can you post links to random threads? I’m kinda curious to peoples reactions. I was sorta surprised by the haters, but haters just gonna hate. I just chalk it up to them not understanding. I figure only madcatz pad warriors and saturn pad fans who played many a game on the knee would get it. Already ordered parts for a second version. Finally an excuse to get the low profile slim PS-15 seimitsu buttons.
FFS, what is wrong with me? I spent all day yesterday laying out and ording parts to make PSgroove boards…and I can’t think of a single game I want to play that I dont already own. sigh. I’ve got issues.
i still have left over primer from a while ago and also a little lacquer left.
however, i’m still trying to figure out how to install a seimitsu ls-55/56 on the t5 plate.
it looks like i’ll have to make a custom mounting plate out of plexiglass.
a while ago, i bought the hrap se for xbox 360. i didnt like arching layout for the buttons. i think its called the seimitsu 2p layout? give me the original hrap layout anyday.
i’m thinkin of trying this out too but then i realized the only thing i play nowadays is ssf4.
