I just got my JLW and my two buttons that I ordered from Lizardlick, but I didn’t realize that the JLW comes with a square gate and I’d have to buy a round gate separately.
I hate it when I overlook things like that. :<

I’ve been wrapping the straws in a rag, gently tighten in a vise, and using a hacksaw, and finishing with 150 grit sandpaper to get the cut edge smooth. Too cheap to buy a pipe cutter.
I have a Saturn Virtua Stick that had a faulty B button, so just today I removed all the old buttons and replaced them with nice Sanwa ones. The B button still doesn’t work! I found out (too late) that the old button functioned properly with a multimeter, so the problem must be somewhere else in the guts of the stick, and I have no idea what to do >.<
Any ideas?
Replace the PCB. Might as well be time to put a Cthulhu in that thing.
I keep getting disc read errors on my 360. It will load games and then In midgame the disc read error screen will come up. I notice this came up a lot on my Devil May Cry4 and we had to get like 4 of them and the same thing came up constly. It did this once when I was playing MvC2 on my 360 while my SSF4(It hasen’t done it when I’ve play SSF4 though, just when it was in the system) was still in the system. I think there might be a problem with the lazer in the system, or it could be another problem. I bought my system used from gamestop so I’m shore that the worrenty is void by now so microsoft is out of the question. Please Help
How long ago did you get it from Game Stop? They have a 30 day return policy for faulty Xbox 360s. If it’s been a while, then unfortunately, you have to get a new one. Luckily for you, the Slim 360 is coming out, so wait for that then.
Sorry for you loss bro, but remember, the Xbox 360 always runs better when it’s lay down flat, the disc reader can read better from that position.

What would be the best way to go about wiring an optical stick (P360 and ASCII) for my NeoGeo? Is there even a pin available on the layout for me to be able to tap for the power. And I want these wired up in a true Neo fashion so no PCB or going from one thing and then to a converter.
There’s nothing special about it. Directions, power, and ground are all present in the neo pinout. Just wire directly.
Which one of these is the correct pinout? Been forever since I have messed with anything neo aside from the NeoBiosMasta (you gotta check that thing out Toodles).
As you can see there is a difference in Pin 8
Both are correct. Pin 8 is +5Vdc, but it’s unneeded on the old style sticks and mahjong controllers. Kidney sticks and NeoCD pads both use it. Use pin 8 as the voltage for the flash.
And to answer the inevitable D button question, use pin #4. Whether or not to connect it to pin #9 is up to you, but #4 is the ‘real’ D.
I can’t decide whether or not I should drill/dremel space out in my RedOctane case for a Happ Competition stick or just get a JLW I can drop in for it with a bat top.
A Happ/iL stick would be cool, but I don’t have a router and I wonder how this dremel/drilling combo is going to work.
Just a random question Toodles but why do the kidney bean and the CD Pad both use pin 8 while the old style does not?
How much space do you have to work with? Believe it or not, some of the holes on the mounting plate for the JLW mount up with the competition
I know the JLW is a drop in for the Red octane, but I’d have to do a case mod for the comp stick
