Seriously, I tried playing Tekken on the mall and was mad loose. My noobie Steve would be jumping around because it’s so loose! And still Tekken regulars can pull off EWGF like playing on a Fanta!
Because the Tekken players here are hardcore serious bizness (aside from the house rules in certain arcades). Why do you think Namco still sponsors local tourneys here?
yeah, i heard about the rolls of pennies. i’m pretty sure its not heavier than lead mass/ratio wise.
besides i have like 7+ pounds of lead fishing balls left. i was originally gonna put it in my ascii stick but it doesnt feel right and i’m sure it wont feel right on a namco stick. however, it works pretty well on the madcatz se stick.
hmm, now i’m tempted to get another madcatz se stick just to use up my lead balls and my spare ls-56/jlw/jlf/ascii optical.
must not give into temptation…i have 9 sticks already which i use only half of them equally.
Quick question, MVC 360 TE has the same PCB as the regular 360 TE/SE correct? Just has the QD’s in different spots to correspond to the different button layout?
Im not in a treasure hunting mood; dont feel like looking through 40 pages in the namco appreciation thread for this info…
so can someone link the relevant links for modding a namco arcade stick? i would like to sanwa it out + system dual mod.
Yes, but the led’s in the turbo panel also match up with the different layout.
I’m thinking about spray painting a game logo onto my new NDS shell in the mail. I’m thinking about using krylon, but my real question is how I’m going to make a template for the spray paint :S
Masking tape is your friend.
All this time where I though Akihabarashop wasn’t accepting my orders, it turns out that I just didn’t know how to use the site. When I finally did find my shopping cart, discovered that I had 14 clear Seimitsus on in my cart plus a number of OBSN-24s as well. Fixed that mess and the final set of buttons for my HRAP3 should be on their way soon.
Sanwa buttons are no problem. The stock buttons are all soldered directly into the pcb though, so they take a bit more getting out than your usual stick.
The joystick is another issue though, because it’s a pretty compact stick it’s difficult to just drop in a replacement. The best solution I’ve seen would be to take the shaft from the stock stick and plop it into the stick that you’re replacing it with, otherwise you’re going to have issues with the bottom panel. I’m going to check if an LS-33 will fit.
I can’t find any Sumoto converters .
Guess I’ll get an inPin.
yeah i saw ben fong (networkingyuppy) and his modded namcos this past weekend and I was like @.@
i need to bring mine up to next gen standards.
ls-56 bitches
sigh
Just because I haven’t replied to your PM doesn’t mean I’m not going to do art for you. It just means I haven’t read your PM so stop flooding my inbox.
Bwahahaha. Remind me to PM you twice a day when my new project gets rolling. Seriously though, give d3v some time. Rome wasn’t built in a day, you know…
Trying to decide whether to order that Datel stick just for the PCB or get a Chimp (or dual strike) and a cheap Madcatz controller for my friend’s stick I’m working on. Guess it depends on if Amazon actually has it. Not to short Laugh at all, but if I don’t hav eto wait for the stick to get thru customs, I could see doing it. Plus I could mess around and make it a stick for my son one day. Who knows…
My downstairs neighbors are smoking so much pot I’m getting light headed.
Worse: I know it was paid for with the money he got selling Chronotrigger and Super Mario RPG for $15 each, and however much the game store gave him for FF7, FFT, and Xenogears.
You should at least ask him to share some with you. Maybe some brownies.
On a different note, has anyone ever tried doing anything with a Seimitsu LS-64?
Damn, I have now come to realize that I could have saved 10 per button had I ordered Seimitsu PS-14-D-Ns instead of Sanwa OBSN-24s.
If I buy a JLF 8YT but, the mounting plate wont fit in my case I can take it off and it’s now a JLF 8Y right?
So if the cost between the two is negligable I should get the 8YT just in case I ever do want to use the mounting plate?
This way, it’ll prolly go to someone who’ll actually appreciate them.
I haven’t modded anything in weeks. Good thing I ordered 2 ChImps a couple days ago.
