I’m familiar with that e-sky deal. It’s a thought. However, no matter how I cut it if I go with the EL panel, I’ll need 2 separate charging solutions: one for the 3.7v for the stick (which would go thru the USB), and one for the EL panel, whether I’m wiring up the plug for an internal balance charger or the charge lead for an external charger.
Wonder how much light I could get if I ran some EL tape around the edge of a piece of etched plexi
Just for kicks, played Final Fantasy XIII with my HRAP3. Works quite well outside of the lack of camera control, but hey, it’s a JRPG, not like you need precise aiming for it.
So it looks like I’m getting ahold of a VSHG next week, but I don’t know what stick to put in it.
It comes with a JLF, and I have LS-56 + LS-32 on stand-by.
I’m still not a fan of standard JLF, but could spring-mod it.
I use LS-56 on my current stick, but am starting to wonder if it’s part of why I suck at SF.
I don’t really like the LS-32’s “popping” issue.
Hmm, 2 batteries inside one stick, sounds like a nightmare already.
As for the lipo, haven’t fried mine yet. But I’ve seen li-pos that looked like a small explosive had gone off inisde them, making them “baloon up” as we tend to call it here.
I met Omar from Udon, and bought the last Ibuki print. The Chunners and Karen ones are definitely getting framed. The Alpha 3 and Ibuki one I might ebay.
Pink Gorilla (University District) has a Capom Power Stick (is that the right name for it? I forget.) with SNES cord for $20.
And a whole lot of sexy games. Prices were reasonable to just above reasonable.
Ugh! Realized that I’ve been giving one stick (theiBuki HRAP3) way too much attention. Upon deciding to clean the dust off round 1 TE, I discovered that the bottom plate is now suffering from a bit of discoloration. Damn, now I feel like a bad parent.
P.S. By the way, what’s the best way to deal with this outside of WD-40?
I’ve seen them balloon and I’ve seen them explode. People charging them with way too much current to try to get that extra voltage for the holeshot off the line at a race. Very dangerous and expensive thing to do for a small speed advantage.
I wonder how a combination of the viewlix and the Blazblue templates would look on backlit film…
so ive noticed the stick in my TE’s are hella loose, so i opened up one took the stick apart and since i really dont want to have to buy a whole bunch of stuff from Lizardlick just so i can get a new spring, i stretched out the spring inside. i wonder what will happen in the long run? just have to keep stretching it out? anywhere else i could get a spring? aside from lizardlick and i dont need anything else to justify paying 5.55 for shipping.
