Blow real hard on the bottomā¦ Make sure you hold reset as you slide the cartridge in at a slight angle and for GODS SAKE make sure you tap twice on top of the NES before you press powerā¦ works like a charmā¦
i drank way to much last night.
My NES works perfectly. All you have to do is replace the 72pin connector (A $10 part on eBay) and itāll fix that shit. No more blowing.
Brings back awesome memories of the tried and true methods to get games to work. 
Now that I look back it was so god damn silly, but at the time the methodology was amazing.
