I have a book called the master and the slave that outlines the Brazilian makeup after the sugarcane revolution (at least up into the time it was written I think 1960s) It was very interesting to say the least. Cool read and for anyone truly interested I would say its worth a look.

Edit: my bad. The percentage is closer to 50% with those having predominat or partial African ancestry. The numbers are almost certainly higher when taking into account those who deny their African heritage due to social ramifications.
There are indeed plenty of Brazilians that look just like Laura, but in a game that already has a lily white roster so far it would’ve been nice to see the one character that would realistically have some color be a little darker than that.

My numbers were wrong initially, it’s more like 50% which is in alignment with your stats

Yah but how much of that 50.7% is mixed race? Even if it were 5%, that would still make lighter skin the majority and therefore Laura more representative of the country she comes from, not that should even be important.
There were no Arabs in SF since the start and it still has a middle eastern scene. I played it just fine. So you really think a Brazillian player is going to bitch because a Brazillian character isn’t dark enough? It’s a step up from fucking green for fuck’s sake.
