You mean everyone doesn’t automatically go into the costume settings are set her to her “tan” skin tone to darken her back up? I will agree that I noticed her skin tone change for the worse.
Honestly, I never got too into VF5 to even discover that bit. Maybe I’ll fool around with it, knowing that, but the game is pretty dead anyway, isn’t it?
To everyone saying that Laura’s skin is too light or doesn’t fit to her being from brasil.
Brazilian people have a large variety of skin tones, just make a short search on google pictures and you will see many different people.
Hmm…I’m kind of skeptical she’ll be a pure grappler character. Prior to Gief’s reveal, it was said that there would be one more pure grappler and a zoning character. Gief already fills in the pure grappler role so Laura being another pure grappler kind of contradicts this. She probably has some command grabs but she might be more of a hybrid strike/grappler character like SNK chars. I wouldn’t care if she ended up as a pure grappler character though. It would definitely be an interesting choice if the core 16 has 3 grapplers.
The ignorance as to what south americans looks like is astonishing. I’m from Peru, where the native population has very tan/dark brown skin yet I’m just a couple shades darker than your average US male.
Not expecting people to be vastly knowledgeable on the topic of ethnicity in SA but come on, these comments about her skin not being dark enough are ignorant and petty.
