Bayonetta demands Dante (DMC) to make her a sandwich. Patch fix available for PS3!

Bayonetta is in the streets right now if you want it. I know a couple of Best Buy’s and TRU’s selling it. I’m going to get mine now.

Hmm so its not streetdated? Let us know.

On another note, the Bat counter is the best thing in action games.

That wasn’t the point. Everybody knows prices of games go down over time. I just looked and Gamestop.com has DMC4 for $15 used.

That IGN PS3 review was weird to me. The video review shows Bayonetta loading when picking things up and when pausing but it looks like the Japanese version i’ve been playing. I downloaded the US demo and the loading times were muuch faster and the colors brighter and the framerate a little smoother. i thought that was the fix and how the US version would be. Did they review the Japanese version on accident or what?

So should I buy Bayonetta for PS3? I wonder how long the game lasts I hate games that last 10 hours.

if youre interested in the game you should check it out no matter what. PS3 was what i played and i loved it because the game itself is great. I think if it comes out like the demo was fixed up then even better. Play that game on whatever you can in the end i dont think it matters

Loading times i liked because i could practice combos during them. but in game loading times are there for sure. oh well.

My wife is out right now trying to find a retailer that’s selling this game.

It’s the only item on my Christmas list since the street date has been broken.

God, I hear that fucking song all day long at work -_- Shoot me.

Side note, you get $5 off the price tag if you reserve it at Gamestop, similar to what they did for L4D2.

What Best Buy areas?

I work at Best Buy and I didn’t saw any Bayonetta in the shipment today or during the week.

I can actually check out their inventory when I got to work tomorrow if they do have it, but I have to know what store city.

:u: Can you check stores in the LA area for me? Pasadena would be ideal.

If I get the game, you get some more months of Premium, on me. Thanks.

No prob.

We are going to get one more shipment of random stuff tomorrow, the moment I see the game pop in, I’m posting it immediately.

If we do get it in, I’m putting it out for sale, it doesn’t look like its hard street dated, but to keep it safe I will buy it for regular price (Cash) instead for $51 discounted price!

What stores do you know from the LA area so I can check?

Hmm. Well, Pasadena would be ideal, but El Segundo and Hawthorne would be good, too. Maybe Westwood? Oh, Duarte (the new one), West Covina, and Montebello, too.

Yes, I do remember there are stores in those cities, I’ll just post if we all got it in already.

Damn, it looks like only the East Coast going to Texas they got it in early today, just hope we get it in the West Coast tomorrow!

Good news are really Bad news!

Good news is that all BestBuys got it yesterday.

Bad news is that is has a Do Not Sell until 1/5/2010 sticker on it!

So high chance you won’t find it early

The game is pretty long, and has insane replay value. I would post what you unlock but since most people don’t have it yet I guess I’ll chill. Get it on 360, if you don’t have a 360 then get it on PS3.

Forgive me if the answers are here and I just need to look, but can someone break down the combo system for me? I’m simply perplexed by some things I’m seeing with my scores. In one run, I am a beast and this is reflected in my score. In the next run, I “felt” I was still that beast, but this isn’t reflected in my combo score. There are some things I’m not understanding about how this stuff works.

I think I know the answer to most of these, but please feel free to elaborate when there’s more one should know that would help them maximize their combo scores.

  1. You want your chain’s multiplier to go to the red 9.9 (I think)? And it can’t go higher than 9.9?

  2. You want to have a long list of your series of attacks on screen. For example, a list of two vs a list of five attacks. Is this right, or does it not matter, as long as you keep your chain from breaking (in other words, the “red 9.9” from disappearing?)

  3. You want to keep hitting enemies in order to keep the chain alive, even if it means a little gunplay (locking on and holding X (360 version)) for those enemies that are sort of out of melee attack range, or those airborne enemies?

  4. You want WITCH TIME dodges, not just merely clean dodges, because SOMEHOW (and I need someone to explain the extent of its influence) doing this maximizes your score in the chain?

  5. Throwing in Torture Attacks (at the right moment, but what moment?) in the mist of a combo within a chain can maximize score as opposed to just doing a Torture Attack with no combo preceeding it?

  6. CERTAIN Torture Attacks yield more points than others?

I just got the last one at my Best Buy a couple of hours ago. The reason I was so vague was because I didn’t wanna blow up the spot. So I guess I got pretty lucky then. I’ll probably be back with some thoughts later.

Try your best not to get hit at all. Finish the stage as quickly as possible and keep combos fresh. Just like DMC, not much different in the points area.

  1. It cannot go higher than 9.9 but when you do torture attacks and you get a QTE to mash, just because it says MAX BONUS does not mean you stop mashing. You can actually go higher if you mash fast enough. For example, when you do a torture attack on the small angels the MAX BONUS starts at 60. I kept mashing and got to 70.

  2. Just keep combos fresh, don’t do the same move twice, unless you have to for the sake of the juggle or combo. Very similar to the DMC combo system. On later difficulties some enemies will recover from juggles you thought were inescapable. Make sure you keep a finger on the dodge button just in case.

  3. Gun-play is great for keeping combos going. Later in the game you will get to transform into a panther so you can run into enemies and keep the combo going that way. You can also turn into a crow later in the game and essentially teleport to the nearest enemy, but it takes some magic meter to use.

  4. Witch Time adds 1.0 multiplier to the score, so yes it’s advisable. It’s also a safer environment since it is in “matrix atmosphere” you can knock up the big enemies that couldn’t normally be knocked up. Hence you can do harder combos with less difficulty in Witch Time!

  5. I usually do torture attacks to dying enemies. You get more points this way, rather than doing it to enemies you could have hit big combos with. Angels show damage in this game on their bodies so you will be able to tell pretty easily.

  6. I’m not entirely sure, but I think certain ones do but it also depends on the enemy you are facing.

There are accessories in this game that will help you a lot. As well as different weapons, so strategies will vary from player to player but those are the basics. DMC vets will pick up quickly but this game will even make them shutter.

Stop getting me excited when I can’t even find the game, this is the first thing on my list, next to a couple a polo shirts(dont have that much money this year)

My bad lol, honestly I’m pretty broke ATM. I don’t mean to derail the thread but March is retarded. Yakuza 3,FF13,GoW3 all come out that month. Apparently SF4 has been delayed. But I knew that getting Bayonetta early would help a lot. I guessing importing it was a good call.
