This dude admits to actually liking the game but wont buy it because a company he doesn’t like is publishing it? That’s just hilarious to me. Like not buying the game is going to hurt Sega? Sega wont feel anything(and they STILL wont release VF5R get over it). If Bayonetta doesn’t sell, the worst case scenario is that Sega will let Platinum Games/CLOVER go, leaving them without a publisher, so basically PG will be left without a publisher. And who knows what would happen after that.

So i finally got around to playing the demo last night.

This game is hot but…idk if im going to be able to play it lol. Theres mad shit going and its mad fast paced(which is good) but, I think im too old to keep up at this point :sad:

DMC1 was good because it encompassed what we want to feel in an action adventure game. Danger, heroism, struggle, and it had a badass story to boot.

DMC3 was good because it was just so fucking cool. Fucking nunchuck shotgun you bitch.

Bayonetta is not good because you play as a woman and because it is not Devil May Cry. Sorry, you lose this one.

1. Do your upgrades carry over to succeeding playthroughs?

2. About how many minutes/hours of ANIMATED cut-scenes are there?

3. Is there an unlockable sound/music test (love the music I’ve heard so far in the demo)?

4. Pure Platinum - I know of the factors in earning this, but how would you weigh the factors? I’m no combo fiend in the demo even, but I manage to hit Pure Platinum in at least two parts of the demo for what seemed to be due to simply not getting hit (and maybe destroying all enemies in good time). Or maybe there’s a minimum requirement for each area of scoring. I hope someone puts out a guy that lists the minimum requirements for Pure Platinum for EACH area of the game, particularly on the Hardest difficulty. I don’t plan on Pure Platinuming all Normal (unless there’s some reward in that). I figure if I’m going to do something like that, might as well do it on the hardest difficulty.

1. as long as u continue your save game, yes you ca carry all your upgrades thru different difficulties.

4. hopefully gfaqs of sum kinda official guide will have platinum requirements. Time platinum is usually very generous, so u jus gotta work on getting high combo score and no damage. I kno there is an unlockable for getting all platinum, but not necessarily all pure platinum.

It’s kind of hard to not get hit in this game. I found my best performance came when I turned the music completely down. You’ve got to watch and listen closely in order to evade on time.

If you miss out on getting pure on any medals then you don’t get an over all pure trophy. Only a Platinum one.

There’s an end of chapter Pure Platinum trophy but I think that’s it. There’s no unlockable and as far as I’ve seen there’s no PS3 Trophy or Achievement for getting all pure plats or anything. More of a personal goal then anything.

Okay I go from S Ranks in DMC to Stone awards in Bayonetta. This game is sooo hard not to get hit. I died a lot on my first tries as well. I guess they succeeded in making a action game harder than DMC.

I recommend buying the butterflies accessory…the hell is the name of that…Anyway for magic you can summon butterflies that will take hits for you.

Yah I’m getting rocked fighting these Fire/Lightning twin guys that show up all the time -_- Witch Time doesn’t last very long against them apparently, and they attack so damn fast.

Finally got the Raven transformation ability, we’ll see how that goes.

This **** is hard, man. I like that, but ****. Getting Pure Platinum on the freaking demo is a bit of a pain, and I hear the Normal in the Demo is not the same Normal in the full - that the full’s Normal is actually harder. lol.

I don’t think beating the game will be a problem (even on Hard), but this “no damage, combo your ass off, and do it fast” stuff is challenging for this kind of game where loads of enemies zone and poke at you like it’s Street Fighter.
