No prob man. Also get the soundtrack if you haven’t yet. It’s a lot of discs but man it’s hot!
Also for those who can’t get money fast still and want to buy moves etc… Look at this vid and read description and it’ll explain everything.
Farming is a non issue. Hell, get some skill, wear the Moon and Gaze of Despair, play through the game on hard…you can easily net 1M per playthrough and that is without farming techniques.
The combination of Moon of Ma’hakala + Selene’s Light + Bat within = GDLK. You can straight up rape face with these three turned on, once you learn your opponent’s attack patterns.
For me, its all about Katana (hands) + Durga (feet) for up close and whip + durga for far away opponents and certain aerial bosses.
The VARIOUS alt costumes are sexy as fuck. I hate the PE Uniform because she ends up looking like sakura started shopping at Hot Topic.
Increase the camera speed to 50% of full and the camera issues pretty much disappear.
Its hard than a motherfuker. Seriously…I hit many one frame links in SF4 regularly, under pressure, in matches and I hardly EVER get bat within to work on command.
But what it IS good for is that if you are trying to get Witch Time on a dodge and you are a split second late…you will often get Bat Within for free.
Think of it as a cheap insurance policy for dodging.
here is my algorithm:
Do I know this opponent well? If yes, go to #3, if no, go to #2.
Dodge to activate witch time on reaction, bat within as insurance policy on the dodge. Witch time combo fest, return to #1 unless they die.
Parry via Moon of Mahakala, extended witch time combo fest. Return to #1 cause no one survives that shit except bosses.
Yeah, the input after you press and dodge (hold it of course) is about the same time window as most light attack links in SF4. Distance wise, its when she is about half way through the dodge animation.
Any tips for that fucking asshole of a secret boss? It’s pretty tedious to try and kill him when they don’t give you an option to start back at the fight instead you have to wait for the loading then you have to go to hell, buy the platinum ticket AND THEN die.
LOL you are in really close danger of sounding like a “bayonetta scrub”.
This game is pretty hard on the upper difficulties…I have NO problem using top tier tools, especially when the bosses have them as well.
Its the vastly increased damage, not the autocombos that make it useful. If you made it to the secret boss, you have nothing left to prove to yourself or anyone else, especially since there isn’t a single hard combo in the entire game. All combos are easy mode in Bayonetta.
I want DMC5 more, personally. Some of the stuff in this game (“lol you can only hit this guy in Witch Time” for example) reminds me too much of Ninja Gaiden, which as we all know is a terrible game, even Sigma/Sigma 2. Thus it brings Bayonetta down a bit in my eyes; there are clear improvements to the core gameplay such as always being able to dodge and so on, but I like taking people’s faces off with Nero so much that I can’t really say this game owns DMC4. I like both evenly I would say, I actually started playing through DMC4 again after beating Bayonetta because it gave the urge to kill guys on there again.
You need to follow the advice given by Sep and probably stop talking. NGO/B (And Sigma 1 to a lesser extent) is an amazing ass game. NGII is dog shit though. Dunno bout Sigma II. Also aside from Aflheim challanges (which are there to make you learn the system and easier then the ones from DMC4) there isn’t anyone in the game you can’t hit outside of Witch Time.
No, NG/NGB/NG2/NGS suck. Any game where you die 9 times out of 10 because the game design itself is flawed is bad. Fifty billion rocket launcher ninjas is not “an exciting challenge”, it’s cheap and forces you to use things like Flock of Swallows spam and pray you don’t get nailed by a rocket you can’t see. Since this isn’t a thread about NG, this is the last thing I’ll say about it:
