Yeah, some enemies are wicked weave only, but I don’t think any are witch time only (outside of the challenges as you mentioned).
Interest cause I can beat NGO/B and Sigma 1 without dieing at all on Master Ninja Mode. Hell I hardly every get hit anymore. Your example even comes from NGII which I said was dog shit. Your right though. From the sound of things it’s probably a good idea if you don’t talk about Ninja Gaiden.
I thought people were telling me to stfu because I said Okami sucked (which it does).
But yeah, I still like DMC better, too, for pretty much the same reasons.
Rented this, beat it, awesome. My A setup is quad shotguns and my B is katana and regular guns. I flip-flop between raping and being the rape-ee.
I’m pretty sure he was talking about the moves where you dodge and hold P or K to do the uppercut or the teleport kick.
Which btw, The Juice, you just hold dodge and hold P or K AFTER the dodge already started. If you hold it before hand you just get dodge offset.
Also, Parabellum, were you talking about Dodge offset? Cause if you were, you don’t have to time anything. You just hold P or K BEFORE pressing dodge then keep holding til it finishes, THEN press the next P or K.
It’s immediately when you get hit, and yes it’s JF. Don’t rely on trying to time it all the time, unless you’re that good.
There isn’t a single enemy like this in the game. If you mean the fire enemies, you don’t have to be in witch time to hurt them, you simply have to stick to guns, the whip, fire durga, or if you parry(not counter, though that would of course work as well) them the fire dies down sometimes, so you can actually use any weapon in real time.
They were, and I will join them.
Here’s what helps me use Dodge Offset. I think of it as a cancel (because that’s what it is). You start an attack, and then you cancel its animation into a dodge. The only thing is, when you perform this cancel, you hold the attack button (which is still a little weird to me). Then you link the dodge animation into your next attack.
EDIT: And yeah, guns do some serious damage in this game. I’m too used to not using them.
That’s what I was doing. And I’ll do it again. STFU.
just got this game recently and damn, its awesome! now all i need to do is practice some combos and stop mashing like a scrub. is there a training mode besides the load screen because i cant find it.
While the load screen is up, press the back(or select) button and it’ll stay on the loading screen as “PRACTICE MODE”
the select button triggers “Practice Mode” in the loading screen
So it pretty much locks you in that screen even after the next stage has loaded until you press the button again to deactivate it.
There might be a menu option to go right into it, but I’ve never seen/looked for it since I just practice in between stages
So in the PS3 version it’s NOT Select that triggers it? Strange.
maybe it’s select I forgot
I have the 360 version btw so whatever it is for you is what I meant
I dunno what he’s talking about Gasa it is select to use practice mode.
Wow.
This is one for the record books.
Sept and I actually disagree on something.
And diametrically, at that.
On topic Bayonetta is gorgeous.
Good for you. The game still sucks.
Anyway, I do forget that guns actually do damage in this game all to often, so used to them being like bee stings as they are in DMC.
It’s like I keep hearing the ramblings of someone who got their ass kicked and just rage quit like a baby or something.
It helps to dual wield any mix of firearms since when you do held K attacks midstring, you generally get three shots in one. Especially PPPK(hold)K(hold)K(hold), that shit does so much damage.
You have to be some kind of god not to get hit in ANY NG imo. The camera is too retarded. You got vids?
Anyway…I picked up Bayonetta today. I haven’t played it since i tried the demo a few weeks ago. I’m going to try and adapt to this gameplay…i want to like it but, its hard to keep up with.
Seems more Bayonetta is on the way…but in what form?
Course, on the other hand, I’m more reminded of this gem from a month or so ago.
I say? MAKE IT HAPPEN, KAMIYA.
If anybody could stand to breathe new life into the fighting game genre, I’m willing to bet Kamiya could.
A “proper” Bayonetta sequel could wait for a while longer, if such a thing like this is what we stand to get next, imo.
Naw I don’t do that kind of stuff. There are people infanitly better then me at these kinds of games. NGO/B/S is really a game of knowing. Play it long enough and you don’t need to see someone to know what they are doing. I know that if a mutated army soldier is more then 5 feet away and off camera he’s prepping a fireball for my ass. You just know. NGO/B/S is really well built in the fact that enemies have scripted behavioral actions. They do specific things in certain situations every time. It’s just a matter of learning their behavior. As for the Camera I don’t really get this complaint. I hear it a lot but it never makes much sense to me. The Camera snaps behind Ryu with a tap of the block button it’s a really simple system. It is a bit too close but not terribly so.
Look people say NGO/B/S can’t be done no hit but there are guys and videos over at Ibearian’s Relm of people doing just that. Take a run over there and check them out they are much better players then I and really you can learn a lot about how to play the game from these guys.
Now NGII is indeed dog shit. I beat that game on MNM a few times and it’s just a terrible, glitchy cheating game. Real bad. I dunno bout Sigma II I didn’t buy it, I tourtured myself enough with II to not care. I hear it’s kind of boring but I dunno.
