Squad Rush is the best mode. It’s strategic, competitive, and ousts recon whores for the scrubs they really are (embarrassed an entire squad of recons who thought they were cute with their motion trackers. Knowing is only half the battle, kids.).
Most console gamers that make commentaries at least HD ones us the Happauge HD PVR
Instead of weakening the M60 I wish they would make more devastating mobility penalties. That gun is fucking heavy, clocking in at 23 lb. with 400 rounds of fuck-off 7.62x51mm ammo. Add to that the weight of a debibrilator, first aid kit, side arm with 3 extra clips of ammo, and assorted gear? Jesus Christ man, that thing should really slow a guy down a bit more.
I actually wish the Helis were easier to shoot down on the 360. Shit is a pain in the ass especially when you are playing with retards who want to all be recon.
I really feel your pain on the console man. My brother has officially stopped playing it because of that so I never get to see if the console crowd is developing at all. I guess not.
Man on console if you can get a good 4 man group going you can rape everything. 90 pct of people on XBL play BC2 like it is MW2 and that shit gets annoying. I don’t even care about K/D ration on BC 2. What is important is getting the charges armed or defending them. Half the time I just run medic because no one else will and watch people run away from my med packs for no apparent reason.
The AA cannons shoot way across the map. Not to mention if you have B and your respective spawn shooting at a chopper. It’s frustrating when I’m trying to fly.
Even with that it is a pain in the ass to shoot down a chopper. It is harder to shoot down a chopper then it was to destroy a tank in WaW before the patch.
As I mentioned earlier on this page, it should be that easy but it isn’t. Using a controller rather than a mouse is already limiting to by a lot to a little depending on how good you are with it. The real problem isn’t that though, it’s chopper performance. The choppers move like they’re much, much lighter on the console to the point that if you can shoot down the helo, especially the attack ones with missiles, the pilot sucked. If the pilot knows what he’s doing you aren’t killing him on console without an equally skilled pilot in your own attack copter. Outside of the very first spawn in Atacama Desert that never occurs though. If you play a lot of games running 8 party chatting, pre-made groups (using 360 as reference here not sure what PSN allows as its limit) it’s annoying but you can still win even against other 8+ premades. Even then it can make the game unenjoyable on certain maps like Atacama Desert, Innocent Island as Attackers, and Port Valdez as Attackers.
All that said console’s only gun imbalance is really the M60, maybe the 1911, and even then it’s not as rage inducing as PC people describe them. Since basically every non bolt action in the game has 25% more damage on console, adding up to 50% more with Magnum Rounds, the M60, Carl Gustav, and 40mm grenade just aren’t an issue, even in pubs rather than premades. Every gun feels pretty strong on console to the point that I go about 50/50 in a fire fight with an M60 user carrying around the AN-94 or XM8 LMG.
Sort of a pick your poison scenario balance wise. On the PC gun balance is arguably dumb, depending on your opinion of CG and 40mm performance and how close you think they make the game UT/Quake, while consoles really have no means to shoot down quality pilots.
Yeah, I kind of wish that there was a weight penalty for certain loadouts; I mean, nothing significant but enough that you can see the difference.
Bigworm, how good is xfire record? No way I’m using fraps because of raw file sizes. I’ve been meaning to buy the Hauppauge because it’s standalone but… component only is kind of ehhh.
Anyone else seen this yet? I’ve not even seen this on PS3 (yet), and so far, all of the top 20
on the leaderboards of which I’ve played with/against since even BFBC are still playing legitimately
although some might be considered to be weak still because they like only one mode, one map,
but whatever.
NOTE: Since you can only see 2 guys pretty much, know that everyone sitting under the ship
is 2 enemies and 2 friendlies:

that explains the weird leaderboard rankings with these lowish level guys with very few kills above these crazy people with hundreds of hours in the game.
Can’t say I care either way though, I always found leveling up in a multiplayer game pretty weak. I understand it makes it more addicting and all. But to me its just artificial replay value.
EDIT: the kinda guys who make videos like this always have horrible music taste
Agreed, I find it funny when people start saying things like “Man you boosted/hacked your rank, you have no skills man” as if prestiging (MW 2) and leveling in any game automatically gives you more and more skills as you get higher and higher rank.
Perfect example is any blanka or ken player in G1… sure they are high rank but that doesn’t mean that they have skills and aren’t flowchart scrubs.
Just starter playing this. I’m not that good yet, can’t fly the chopper. About 3 times I tried using it and I killed myself 3x 10 secs after take off.
Hit me up with an invite though. I’m semi decent on foot.
Im on the PC Team
MrBlank is my Gametag in BC2
Yeah the boosting stuff is useless.
Had one guy on the team, with 0-1, but had 2000+ points.
I want my friends list to work and delete the people I want and not someone I play with.
Also a bigger friends list than 20 would be nice.
Starting to enjoy Squad Deathmatch more and more. Squad Rush is still too quiet for my liking but
yeah, SQD is starting to grow on me.

That NS2000 is something else with the 12 Gauge shells. I was seriously one-shoting dudes from close to mid-range. :shake:
Lol. With that huge ass recoil, you better be one shotting people from close to mid-range.
