HAHA! I know, I know. I’d have to blame it on IW for porting MW2 to PC instead of dicking us with a matchmaking system. They put me in a bad mood against console shooters vs Pc shooters.

I haven’t played it on console but on PC I feel the mouse controls are a bit loose or floaty. Mind you I’ve got the cplmodified mouse accel fix and overclocked by usb ports to 500mhz, so I think its just the nature of the game.
Have any of you guys noticed that during the beta and even now, the PC version uses UK English, like “Favourite Servers” and at the bottom of the screen it would tell you to contact battlefield.co.uk?
Wow I really appreciate this link and it goes over some of the shortcomings you were mentioning last night (namely no windowed mode).
Points don’t matter in this game, they should keep it hidden actually. Points aren’t the objectives in this game. Only reason why I wasn’t top 2 in the last 3 games (I was 3rd and going for capture points) was because these two were boosting each other… wish I could kill them but I can’t. So fuck the point system. It don’t mean how good you are. And by boosting I mean they threw each other ammo packs, shot a few rounds, repeat.
Game is soooooo good. The destruction engine and sound really make this game. I wish cod had an engine like this one.

I do tend to get fed up with snipers on the well vegetated maps. I go recon myself, equipping myself with an 870MCS, then proceed to Banzai the other team as a leafy reaper.
Indeed it is fun.
Two gold pins and the Long Service Resupply ops insigna = 15k points BEFORE the 4500 I actually earned myself on the server. Almost 20k in one round, Jesus H Christ.

Anyone else getting ridiculous loading speeds?
Game runs smooth as butter on all high with no AA, 4x AF, disabled bloom, 1440x900@75Hz with a FOV of 90 on an i5-750 (stock), 4gb ddr3, HD5770- but it takes me more than twice as long to load a map than my friends with worse rigs. I checked CPU and RAM usage and they both seem fine…ideas? Oh yeah, it’s not by HDD either, getting 116MB/s average read speed.
Seriously, havent been able to play all evening.
See Twitter for update/info. I already assumed EA would have server issues with this game throughout the first two weeks, and guess what? Like clockwork for all their new releases, they’re not ready—hence server overloads, malfunctions, disconnects you name it. DICE has Tweeted this as well.
My g/f was able to connect just now though as of 5:48PM PST—so I’m assume (for now) that servers issues have been resolved. Fuckin’ EA…

Yeah I’ve been able to get on a few servers, not all of them. Some have weird issues like maps being off and others with all level 1 unlocks only.

What are the best guns in this game?
Even if you wanted to have someone make you some nice, tidy little list, it wouldn’t happen. There’s
so many changes in crate tiers (terrain, chokepoints, uncovered areas, ect) in Rush, so many changes
in map conditions and pace in Conquest. Every weapon has it’s uses. Seriously! Even each kit’s default
weapons have their uses.
I’m not exaggerating either. I came to this conclusion early today when I found myself not just switching
specializations for Assault class but also the guns! And frequently because each can do different things
and really well. I never had this problem (not really a problem, but a new found joy) in BFBC.
But obviously the weapons that are the last unlocks in the game, per class, are going to have a one-up
on everything else. Duh…but you already knew that, right? RIGHT…?
