I don’t think there should be an issue with staying true to the source material (which was pretty damn gory in this case), especially in this day and age. The comics aren’t made for 7-year-olds any more.

not true at all. you wouldnt have to rewrite her but retool her. i mean in the mid 90’s when she was just a cape on her own and dating tim she was fine. annoyed batman but thats because he’s not one of his capes in gotham. Its when they decided to have batman use her as a tool to get tim back into his cape is when shit went wild. her basics are just fine, just write it as tim drake has been robin for about 4 years, and she’s new in town. play her as if catwoman, in character type. toying and flirting with robin, but also seemingly a step ahead of robin kicking badguys butts.
since her father was a baddy, she’d have the better connects than robin and bats.
your dad is a supervillain. she knew this growing up, id say she was very active and knowledgeable about her dads work.
And none of that Adam West-esque friendly crap from that last series. Bats is dark and brooding, not all super-friendly and shit.
I don’t remember seeing that much blood in JLU or BTAS. Maybe some red scratches or one slash mark (blood never running from those wounds, though), or a trickle of blood from the corner of someone’s mouth. When someone gets shot (usually in the arm), they somehow always manage to squeeze the wound so no blood escapes and trickles over their hand or down their wounded arm. I need to scan my eps and check that, but this movie has way more blood than I remember seeing in the 3 Bruce Timm series.
I gotta admit I damn near forgot about this until I bumped into the thread. But this shit was the hotness. This just reminds me how much I still wanna see The Judas Contract though. But everybody needs to watch this though.
It was ok I guess. Barely passing voice acting. Hated Joker and his expanded roll (nice Hammil Joker-laugh though). Art was not great. They did a decent job of tying up a complicated story arc with backstory though within 75 minutes. The only thing that made me really mad was:

From here on out…every Joker we see is going to be based off of Heath Ledger’s Joker some way or another. This Joker was more murderous and cruel than any other. And this one didn’t even have any clown personality that the joker has. He didn’t even use any comedic weapons in this one either. He is just another Hannibal Lecter with a white face, trying to live up to Heath Ledger’s Joker.
He is both super-friendly and awesome. BATB Was good stuff.
I only see two versions of Joker now. “Funny-serious” Hammil and “deadpan-creepy-serious” Ledger. Both are some of the finest comic villain work IMO.
Just caught this. Too many cameos and superhero-ish crap (the armored assassin thing). Oh WOW they say ‘damn’ and ‘hell’ a lot! Yawn. For a DTV that has more liberties with violence, Joker still didn’t top his Beyond appearance.
What I liked most (besides Ra’s looking like Castlevania Dracula) was Bats’ personality. That’s the Batman I wanna see in the TDK sequel.

i really dont understand why their cancelling the new show. i dont see why you cant run the kiddy show during mornings,early afternoons and on adult swim get a new more adult bats. possibly add it to the sunday adult swim lineup.
im really gonna fight liking young justice. i actually grew up with the real young justice. tim and bart were my fave characters as a teen. sooo to see them get booted from the team they started it boo urns to me. wally better be fucking a.d.d up the wazoo.
BTAS darkest episode is Over The Edge. I like the series a lot, but I hate the fact when they would get into a fist fight and sometimes a bright light would flash on the screen when they get hit in the face or whatever. A new series is going to be the shit if it happens. Have all new voice actors and bring in new villains.
