At the beginning of the 1st round he walks towards you and it’s clear he’s going for a throw. First time you punch him, second time you just stand there and get thrown. ok

You fall for too many random srk. that guy is clearly a dp masher, just interrupt your block strings sometimes and start blocking. He’ll do a dp, you block and punish accordingly. ok

Use your EX meter more!!! Balrog super is nice but especially against shotos that throw lots of fireballs ex rush punches are extremely important. I can’t count the times where one of your dash punches was smacked by a normal hadooken and all those times you could have done 100+ damage to him with a normal ex dash straight or even better dash upper or overhead to c.lp or c.lk xx headbutt combo. i agree 100%, i should use it more, i will next time.

TAP around fireballs
alright

That ryu didn’t block those random headbutts most of the time, but don’t get into that habit, it’ll get you raped against good players (same goes for me,hehe)
alright.

Mashing lp on a srk happy ryu that’s waking up is a bad bad bad idea.
i know, what i was ttrying to do was make him look like i was mashing cr lp while he’s down and at the moment he wakes up ill back up a lil but and go for cr.mp dash straight combo, but i dont pull it off consistently
Other than that your links are pretty solid most of the time, you’re pretty good even tho that ryu wasn’t much of a challenge thanks

i’ve seen gootecks use the BNB you speak of, it’s good, the only problem i have with that is that you have to be close to your opponent because if you’re not close enough the cr.lk will whiff, what do i do if it does?
C.jab x2 xx C.lk xx HP headbutt
also, u need to play patient. You seem to be hasty. Dont get me wrong, when u got ur opponent in the corner, put a load of pressure on him, but dont over do it all the time. for example, ur jump ins. space yourself out. i recommend HK because you can hit your opponent at a higher distance, which greatly disables their ability to react. if your opponent jumps, use HP, since that hits mostly straight and has range.
great advice right there, i understand what you mean by the jump in spacings, sometimes when i jump in i over jump and i just get throwed
Try not to headbutt so much. You got punished a lot for doing it. the headbutt can go through fireballs. dont wake up headbutt so much ull get punished like you did. alright
also, you better use that EX meter that you have. Rog’s EX attacks absorb a hit except for the EX dash upper towards the end of the animation. use these to close the gap, or right when your opponent throws a fireball to absorb it and counter. ok
also, when your opponent jumps in ON YOU, if you werent knocked down, Rog’s Crouching HP will beat mostly anything. Its a Very Very VERY good anti air.
You got potential, but you need work, Just like everyone else Needs work… thanks i guess
so pretty much what i got from both of your advises right there (thanks btw) is that i should use ex more often, tap on fireballs, spacing when jumping in, jab jab dash mixups, dont headbutt too much, use his bnb. oh and use j.hp if you meet in the air. did i miss anything ?
