I thought of this exact same team a little ways back but I suck with Wesker.
If you could, what do you find to be the strengths in matches, other than what you listed? Also, what weaknesses are you finding? Like, which teams and/or characters and/or play styles are giving you trouble?
I was thinking Iron Man/X23/Tron for a team. X23 would provide an excellent otg assist for extending combos for the iron man and Tron has an amazing gustaff fire assist that is hard to deal with at times. The only thing I’m wondering is if I should put Tron on point or IM? Using Unibeam assist for Tron could be pretty good.
From what research I have done I have found that Dante is a good partner for Iron Man. I am having trouble finding a suitable third character that will build a strong balanced team. What are some suggestions of good teams? I could really use your help here. Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks for the responses guys keep them coming!! Last night I tried Dante, Sent, IM and had decent success. Keep in mind that I royally suck at this game.
I’ve been working on finding a partner for my Zero/Doom team to replace Dante (since he has no DHC synergy with Zero). I went through the whole cast recently and Iron Man was among the top characters I found for this team (alongside Chun, Hulk, Chris, Magneto, and Deadpool).
Zero and Iron Man have great 2-way DHC synergy, with the only really lacking DHC being going from Zero level 1 to Iron Man level 3 (you lose almost all of the damage from Zero’s Rekkoha). There’s also really strict timing to DHC from Proton Cannon (has to be angled) to Rekkoha. Iron Man’s beam and repulsor assists are both really useful to Zero and both work in Zero’s advanced BnB combo without sacrificing any damage. Zero is absolutely not easy to use to his full potential though, so I’d say make sure you’re willing to dedicate some time to him if you want to try him out.
Doom is like the best partner in the game for everyone so I’m not even going to explain him ^^
Zero (Ryuenjin or Hadangeki - haven’t decided yet), Iron Man (Unibeam, maybe Repulsor), Doom (any assist really, but Beam is best for Zero) is what I’ll be running for a while.
Also…Iron Man is too hard to play!! I’m struggling even doing some of the apprentice combos and I was the one who discovered Zero’s double buster triple launcher BnB XD
Tron (Gustaff)
Ironman (Unibeam)
Spencer (Armor Pierce)
Pretty decent DHC potential, and Unibeam helps me approach while Armor Pierce extends combos. Gustaff fire to gdlk.
Tron has a hard time approaching without assists so she is on point and Ironman or Spencer can be my anchor. By the time Spencer or Ironman get in, Tron builds a ton of meter and does pretty decent damage on her own. The team’s also not as squishy since they have 3m health total.
Taskmaster - Horizontal shot
Iron Man - Repulsor Blast
Arthur - Flame Bottle ( usually powered up asap)
seems to be working as a nice keepaway team for me. It still manages to work with a dead Tasky or ironman although locking people down without tasky is proving difficult.
my 2 most powerful teams so far are wolvie(berserker barrage), ammy(coldstar), sent(drones) and wolvie(berserker barrage), ironman (unibeam),akuma(hurricane kick).
the second team is becoming better than the first:
wolvie has a much easier time dealing with keepaway when he has unibeam as an assist, also he has OTG into reset combos with unibeam.
ironman can make good use of akumas hurricane kick for lockdown or high priority purposes, and akuma can make good use of unibeam to aid in runaway or to clear avenues for approach.
this team gives me 2 divekick characters, a tri/box jump character, all 3 have very damaging bnb’s, team hp is good, dhc into each other is nice and easy especially if ironman or akuma start the dhc, long range runaway game for 2 characters, 2 lockdown assists, all 3 are very good lvl3 xfactor characters.
I’m testing out Cap(shield slash), Iron Man(Repulsar) and wesker(low shot). Its seems to be a pretty syngergized team. Cap on point is the key thing. In order for him to have a solid offense he need to set up his mixup and continue his combos. Wesker low shot allows for OTG, and IM repulsar allow Cap to use his cartwheel for mixup. I honestly prefer drones (Sent)because they can be interrupted by the crossup and don’t have any autoblock I just don’t like playing sent. So I’m switching between Unibeam and Repulsar. So far, the synergy is pretty good, DHC’s look nice and the team has pretty good flow considering Cap makes for a pretty good battery. Still trying to decide whether to put IM or Wesker at the back, but since I’m good with wesker and his level 3 Xfactor is pretty sick I may just leave the team as is
Do you think iron man or thor would be a better anchor for a team? I’m currently using thor as the anchor for my secondary team (avengers, yo) and I was wondering what your thoughts were on the Iron Man forums about this.
I play Thor too and I can tell you that Thor is a terrible anchor. Although he has high damage potential, he can’t really get in without any assists. His zoning game is weak against small characters.
I’m currently running Weker (samurai edge lower shot), Iron man(unibeam), Shuma-Gorath (Mystic smash).
Team’s been working well but I’m not sure shuma is the best choice for it. I really only run him because he’s one of my favorite characters and don’t know who else would be more beneficial, and I’m not running dante, ryu, akuma, or sentinel. I’m not that desperate.
I’m thinking of running Deadpool (quick work)/Wolverine (berzerker slash)/Iron Man (repulsor).
Iron man’s repulsor works as a good assist to keep people off deadpool or lock someone down long enough to get a mixup with wolvie. Deadpool’s assist hits low, allowing me to set up unblockables with both Wolvie and IM. I want to use the berzerker slash assist for the surprise cross counter crossup.
Got deadpool/wolvie for DHC rescaling combos.
Deadpool will be the battery, just running and gunning me some meter. If I get that random hit with enough meter I’ll go into cutting time and DHC to berzerker charge for the rescale combo. Iron man should make a pretty good anchor with his flexibility.
