Theoretical speaking I think iron man can be good on point with the backing of Morrigan meter assist because he has one of the best lv3 to shot down ground movement and Repulsar Blastfor air x to lv3.
If I’m using a level 3 I’d rather just do it raw so I can get a full combo after. Doing it off a repulsor won’t let you do that and you can just combo off anti-air repulsor without burning meter in most cases anyway.
You can indeed get a full OTG launch combo off level 3 coming from repulsar blast spread, I can’t tell you the number of times of done it. Ironman should be killing off repulsars either because he’s in the corner, using a level 3 into combo, or using x factor on the spread to be able to dash up and otg smart bombs.
Wow, that’s really suprising considering comboing off repulsor really limits your regular combo options afterward. Normally you can’t really add more than 1 or 2 hits before his level 3 otherwise you can’t get the full launch after it. shrug maybe it’s changed since vanilla, it was really restrictive back then.

I’m gonna be trying Ammy with Cold Star assist probably, apparently Deadpool has a completely bonkers reset using it and she seems to be a good neutral partner for Iron Man. She would be in anchor slot.
Thanks for this. I always use to combo off smart bombs with st.:l: in vanilla which kinda limited you to one or 2 quick hits before the super if you wanted to followup after. In Ultimate you can go straight into cr.
to pickup after the level 3 since smart bombs have less recovery. This lets you tack on a few more hits than you could in Vanilla while still being able to followup with a launch.

Yea I was doing some experimenting and didn’t know he could confirm from midscreen off Vajra with Smart Bomb -> s.
The team I’m going for is Zero/Ironman (Repulsor)/Strider
The most intriguing thing to me is that if you call strider immediately before a repulsar and it hits, and you spread quickly, you will knock them into strider who will knock them down closer to you, allowing you to get full launch combos off of repulsar, which is definitely a nice asset.
So what is Ironman looking for in his neutral game?

is it worth picking up mag to step in to his shoes or run with iM
or is zero a better option than mag?

Zero/Ironman/Mags sounds vicious. Zero loves Repulsor assist. Could probably also do Viper/Ironman/Virgil
Has anyone experimented with Dr.Strange Bolts of Balthakk assist. As an alternate to my Ammy anchor I’ve very recently been trying it out and I can’t tell if its any good with IM or not. I was thinking it would not only provide a short a mount of lock down but also force characters to crouch, allowing for mix up opportunities.
i play strange on point most of the time but iron man could use it for getting in and for mixup. cr. H into flight and call him to cover you up. thats how i do it at least
When I’m fighting against Dr strange I find eye of avacado to be much more annoying than bolts of ballsack. Especially since IM is a natural zoner and its hard to get it in against that damn eye
