I rolled Voltar last night. Dude is beast. I would buff up that heal bot thingy first. Follow a teammate and a little army of droids to a turret and nothing could stop us. It only got worse for the bad dudes when I started buffing up those little orb droids Voltar has.
Heal Bot is unnecessary. Once you have three or four of the orb Drones, then anyone can tank turrets because the turrets try to shoot at the orb Drones and the turrets miss. So, everyone else is just standing there safe, maybe taking a little damage every now and then.
Depends on the team makeup from what i have seen, a single point in learning the skill can be very helpful for early push’s.
I dont give a fuck about unnecessary. I like using that thing. It does good damage and heals so I like it.
edit - I looked at the rankings last night and the first thing I noticed was that the dude in the 2 spot has like 24 thousand games played. hmhmhm
Leaderboards are completely fucked.
Pay them no mind.
I haven’t paid leader boards any mind since Socom. It just made me laugh as poor Spooty is trying to get a high rank and this lame dude is ruining it for him and everyone else. Thats how it always goes.
p.s. Every time I came across another Voltar in a match last night my heal bot would destroy him and his lame orb drones and whatever teammates he had with him. Then me and my drone army and teammates would destroy whatevers.
It’s too early to pinpoint exact strats like anything else.
Most are still learning basic strats on builds etc.
Use what works for you,most have not fought organized teams but rather random against randoms.
Personally i have not fought another Yuri but i’m sure there’s some out there.
Word, Ive only played with randoms so I do just do what works best for me. With Voltar I just try to focus on healing/support. The first item I unlock is the “earn solar for healing” one. You earn crazy solar with this dude. Next I unlock the heal bot, then decrease its cool down, then buff its attack. Then I unlock the orb drones and buff those. I have never needed to buff anything else as the matches were always over by the time I had the orbs buffed up to a decent level.
Solar from healing i believe only nets advantage when you pump the healing amount up.

I really dont care about the numbers. It seems to be working out for me so I’ll just keep doing it. I just play to have fun, crunching numbers and going over charts and shit just makes it feel like a chore to me.
edit - Im sure someone else would like that info though. I know a lot of people are super competitive and will take any advantage they can get. Me, I just dont care that much.

Downloading demo right now. Odd question but, can you play this with a stick? Don’t know what it is about it but I like playing random games with a stick.
Wireless is probably to blame. Its not in the house so I cant have it hardwired. I have a type 2 nat and I ran a speed test on the ps3 and my internet connection on that thing is great.
I think i may start playing turret defense with mah bruv Yuri and the vacuum laser.
Come to think of it, if you have a stick that can set to Left Analog (instead of D-pad), probably.
