Google it. Everything you want is right there. Wikipedia can help you with episode synopsis and numbers, and from there, there are many options for obtaining eps, either file sites or torrents. With internet, you don’t really need cable…unless you like sports, or animated shows by Nelvana (which I can only find in crappy polish overdubs!!), in which case cable has you covered (thank you Noggin/Nickjr).
ah, I thought there was some official nicolodean site or something it would be on.
Avatar: The Last Airbender comic coming Jan. 25 2012
I’m sure it’s been mentioned across a few sites, but here are some links

Takes place right where the series ended and we will most likely be getting some info about Ursa (Zuko’s mom). The guy writing this is going to be in close contact with the makers of the series so I’m actually expecting this to be pretty good; it can’t get any worse than the movie. I’m not really a comic book person, but anything airbender related is a must for me.
This is a wonderful show! Here is an interesting fact:
Monk Gyatso is Aang’s teacher. Tenzin is Aang’s son. The name of the current Dalai Lama is Tenzin Gyatso. O.O
Orudo. Got anything more recent than July?
So I’m watching the series for the first time on Netflix and I’m on episode 5-6 which is the one where they goto that earth bending village and get arrested,…I think the episode is called imprisoned. Anyhow something was bothering me about that episode, the earth benders couldn’t bend because they were on that coal rig but isn’t metal and all the materials they have earth based anyways,…technically every material we have is earth based so I don’t get why they can’t bend the ships or even the weapons.
They actually explain this later in the series.

Spoiler
Though Metal is earth. It has been refined and modified so it isn’t technically “earth” but Toph (a character introduced in Season 2) is Blind and she can feel/see the earth in a way no other earth bender can. She finds the impurities in Metal and basically becomes Magneto.
Ah I see, so basically earth only applies to minerals or substances that are still raw with no technological intervention. So diamond in it’s natural state can bended but a diamond ring couldn’t be because it’s been adapted by technology.
Exactly.
Although technically technology is still organic and earth in origin, it shouldn’t matter if they are adapted or modified since all things com from the earth. Technology is organic so the earth benders should be able to bend anything including people and animals but I suppose the creators needed to inplement some restriction otherwise the earth benders would have been broken lol.
They did this with the water benders. In Season 3 Kitara learns to water bend by stealing water from the flora and fauna around her. In addition she also learns to bend peoples blood (but she can only do it during a Full Moon since during a Full Moon is when the water benders are at their most powerful
Oh nice, I was gonna ask about the water benders too since I wasn’t sure if they were only restricted to water or just liquids in general. I suppose since water benders draw power from liquids or anything composited by H2O that would mean female water benders are more powerful then male water benders since women retain more water in their bodies,…I guess the menstrual cycle would count as added liquids to draw power from as well but I’m doubting that will be shown lol.
Blood bending (if that’s what you’re referring to) is based on the moon’s influence on tides, not menses, hence the full moon requirement. A male can blood-bend as well, but it’s only taught to females.
Oh ok so they can only control water but with the exception of a full moon also bend blood. However they can only bend water not liquids in general, gotcha now. I still think that would mean females are more powerful then males in water bending then since females have higher deposits of water in their water which would translate more energy to draw from if I’m not mistaken.
I don’t think so. They manipulate external water sources, and that has nothing to do with their body’s level of hydration, since they don’t use their own body’s water for bending…only exterior water sources and the user’s own bending skill and ingenuity (and whether or not the full moon is in play) affect what a water bender can do.
Oh I had wrongly assumed that benders drew energy from their particular element sort of like silver surfer and the power cosmic. They can only manipulate external sources then, I guess like pyro from x-men.
Edit: since every liquid has a compound of water, I suppose that mans every liquid is fair game but only of it’s external. Same with earth benders in that everything around ha is earth based so earth benders should be the most powerful of the benders. As for fire and air,…I have no clue how those work especially fire since I don’t get how they can produce fire to begin with.
too much thought being put into this. probably more than the writers for that episode.
That’s the interwebz for ya.
lol wel think about, the benders have more control over their elements then what was portrayed in the show. If their bending powers were aligned with scientific principles they could do more cool shit with there bending powers, and more versatility and expansion of bending abilities=more cool fights and action sequences.
