Movie was destined to be bad when M Night was announced to direct. Itās all gone downhill from there. I have no idea why he is even allowed to direct any movie at all after three straight complete bombs.
I was going to see it, now I donāt feel like wasting money and getting mad. I will rewatch the entire animated series again. I wonder how the creators feel? How much were they involved in the movie?

The only thing I disagree with is him having just three bombs. As far as Iām concerned he hasnāt made a decent flick since Sixth Sense. Signs had potential until it fell apart during the second half.
Looks like my M.Night boycott will continue.

Signs wasnāt completely awful, it was just okay. I liked Unbreakable, and Sixth Sense was so good it has apparently earned him leeway to make 4 stupid movies in a row and keep being hired.

This movieā¦all I have to say is thank god I got my ticket for free. I agree with Vicious that the moment M.Nightwhateverhisface was signed on to direct, the movie was going straight down from there. I wanted it to get better, but I meanā¦even the action was shitty.
Makes me want to get the show and re watch all of it so I can forget that shitfest of a movie.

Most of the fan community realizes that Mike and Bryan canāt say anything critical of the movie, as theyāve probably signed legal agreements and theyāre also trying to get into Viacomās pocket to get another Avatar series made (which theyāve been successful at! Yay!). So the few interviews theyāve done in the last year or so havenāt really gone in-depth on the issue of the movieā¦
they racebended so that they could mispronounce shit like āah-ngā and āsow-kaā and āah-vah-tarā.
i thought how it was great that they made the main characters white, but they still lived with people of color, which just made them look out of place. they definitely didnāt cast white actors because they can act better.
