If a chinese production company was behind it, I don’t think the bending effects would be on par like what we are seeing in the trailer.
Sura is gorgeous with a beautiful bod, but Naevia’s skin and her shape just entrances me more.
Note: I do think Sura is the hottest, but Naevia is my favorite.
if you wana talk about shady business in hollywood it goes a lot deeper than programming racism subconsciously (which they obviously do) into movies and shows. maybe you’re right, that there is a conscious effort in hollywood to keep asians out of popular movies that don’t involve martial arts, but why? i mean, portraying black and mexican people as thieves and gangsters is obvious to paint them as societies criminals, but just leaving out asians all together doesn’t make sense to me. it seems more logical that its more of a cost(profit) issue than an attempt at removing asians from everyone’s (sub)conscious.
A friend of mine got the soundtrack for The Last Airbender (the movie), and he says if the movie is as grandiose as the score, we’re in for a treat. I didn’t get to listen but he did confirm that no music from the show was in (e.g., how Iron Man had some animated Iron Man themes in it).

Honestly though Asians are so poorly done in the movies to the point its not even funny. I mean you could chalk up the reason why a street fighter movie can never be done soley for the fact that Capcom wouldn’t allow Ryu to be the main character of his own damn game . Regardless of how the white male characters get a fleshed out background (Ken , Guile,Charlie,Alex, Gill,Remy,Zangief, ) Ryu has absolutely nothing in comparison . They could easily create a decent storyline for Ryu and expand upon it but he plays second fiddle to what is supposed to be his secondary characters . In all of Ryu’s travels across the world he hasn’t faced any real challengers are met someone he might a women show interest in. I mean really now this dude is a that damn asexual. He is almost as bad as the jedi knights when it comes to expressing feelings beyond his duty to his martial arts.
I’m with Kai. White people should stay the hell out of martial art films!!! I just can’t believe them.

Been watching some Avatar lately. Very good show to come out from Nickelodeon. One episode was a little iffy to me. It was some bull kiddy melodrama, but I guess that’s sort of to be expected on Nick. Watching Books 2 and Three now.
Shit starts to get intense.
A friend got an early review copy of The Last Airbender soundtrack. It’s by James Newton Howard, who had a hand in The Dark Knight soundtrack.
This soundtrack is AWESOME. It’s like :wow: jaw-droppingly awesome.

Saw the graphic insert in the soundtrack. Heavy Aang + Zuko dynamic. Zuko – and many people forget this – is one of the show’s protagonists, as important as Aang. I think the movie hasn’t lost this.
If the film is half as good as the soundtrack, it will be movie of the year. I’m pinning my hopes on you, M. Night. Don’t fucking let me down. You made a lot of shit but you also made Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, and both films are extraordinary.
Dr. B’s soundtrack is composed by James Newton Howard and some alternate reality version of Danny Elfman that isn’t a fairy.
Pumped for the film, need to marathon all episodes of the show beforehand.

There’s going to be more tweens and stupid teenagers–okay, stupid people in general–in theaters in the next couple of weeks than you could punch out, even if you brought a can of spinach.
I have to see this movie even though Dante Basco would have been a perfect fit over Dev. Action would be on point but I’ll be scratchin my head through the whole thing
