Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

Sure, let’s wait every 100 years for that powerup. Meanwhile, water benders can get a mini one every night + every month. Not to mention eclipses occur once every 18 months, where fire benders are powerless.

Spoiler

She sensed when Ravaa exploded, then disappeared. Likely what she did was gather her scattered remains and brought them to Korrazilla. Once she got those, she was able to see the seed of Ravaa in Vaatu. Vaatu regrowing inside of Korra could also be a future story arc.

firebenders can get a mini power up on a hot day and when the sun rises

“You rise with the moon, I rise with the sun” - Zuko

Spoiler

the only way Vaatu can come back is if someone went to the spirit wolrd and looked for the dark and put in the light of Korra

And you guys its been said multiple times book 3 is about Lin

And also where would you rank that season finale fight amongst fights in the avatar universe

That was merely said by Zuko. Never explicitely said by anybody else that sunlight gives Firebenders more power. While it does make sense, it wasn’t said anywhere.

Nevertheless, full moons and eclipses happen more than Sozin’s comet. And they never said another comet augments their powers.

From avatar wikia:

Equator: A firebender’s power is at its maximum potential nearest to the equator. This effect increases significantly during the summer.
Warm climate: A firebender is much stronger and controlled whenever he or she can draw energy from heat. The climate conditions of a battleground can turn the tides of the fight in a firebender’s favor, if the weather is hot enough.

And also we never got airbending’s subskill this season

All this talk about next level bending just makes me think Earthbending is the next to get the boost in Season 3.

Yeah, there’s Metalbending, but I’m expecting literal Earth-Shaking in the next Season.

I really don’t like that they just cut all the links to the old avatars like that. Some of the best material LOK has had involved past avatars helping her in some way.
There was definitely a lot of “Wait, what?” moments in the last 2 episodes, they just kept pulling shit out their bums. There was no context whatsoever to many things that happened

Spoiler
  1. Vatu being able to rip Raava out of Korra
  2. By beating up on Raava, the connections to past avatars get severed
  3. By swallowing Raava, Unalak becomes a giant spirit monster
  4. The tree prison was actually a meditation area that can make ANYONE conjure up a giant spirit version of themselves after 5 mins of meditation.
  5. Oh BTW if you are a giant spirit monster you can just teleport anywhere and land like a meteor.
  6. Ginora is some kind of spirit cleanser, that also can just teleport anywhere.

I really do not like the direction they are going with the show. It may very well turn into a monster hunting show since for sure there will be some rogue spirits here and there.
I don’t know what happened? nothing from what made book 1 good seemed to have made it to book 2.

Honestly, from an "epicness"standpoint it ranks high, but TLA had much much better choreographed fights that emphasized martial arts skill over just bending and spirit giants. As much as I hated her character, Azula was seriously impressive to watch every time she was in combat mode. Even during the eclipse where she lost her powers she was owning the Avatar crew for free.

Endgame Aang and Zuko were also impressive once they refined their skills.

Honorable mention to Ty Lee with her Cammy-like acrobatics.

lava bending

Tiger_claw 1-3 are explainable lol

Whiteshadow that’s actually my favorite fight scene along with ozai and aang.

So now everything makes sense as to why the avatar would cease to exist if killed in the avatar state

So what happens if the next 10,000 year cycle comes around and the current Avatar is like 18 months old?

[details=Spoiler]Heres all of the info about season 3 and 4 thats known so far for you guys that are interested

It does make sense given water bending’s boosts, but I don’t recall it being actually stated. But okay, I was wrong.

It believes in itself and grows to be 500 ft tall and have super spirit sage new borns help them out. Then the big dbz’esque energy battle ensues because apparently you just get that shit for no reason other then you are the avatar and screw explanations or making sense. Though she wasn’t even the avatar at the time she was just someone that could bend all 4 elements so fuck it anyone can do it so why even have an avatar.

I wonder if we will finally see Zuko since he is still alive

‘The Legend of Korra’ Book Three Will Be Titled ‘Change’

[details=Spoiler]Korra and Asami could bond and become better friends!

Korrasami confirmed.

On a random note, Zuko vs Azula was still the goat fight in the series imo. Bolin has at least top 5 right now.

In my top 5. Anyone notice how Korra used Katara’s move kinda
