Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

You mean Blue Spirit?

I doubt that, unless she escaped. Zuko not letting that broad breed

Seriously, Azula was batshit insane. Who would want her babies?

Any speculations on what the next book might be titled? Earth, Water, Fire, and Air are all done.

We have 118 elements to choose from, sir.

Kwame>>>>

I would have said Heart.

Edit: Crap, too slow.

Too obvious.

soon talking avatar will be a bannable offense on srk haha.

stfu mako

I liked how Amon and Tarlock ended but I’m sorry, this rush to explain/fix everything during the final minutes of the show was too much for me. I don’t get why Nick didn’t give these cats a regular season to tell a less rushed story.

Rushed? The only part that is even remotely rushed is Episode 12.

Very likely they weren’t given a longer 1st season because it’s:

  1. A sequel series
  2. 3 years or so since TLA ended
  3. 70 year time skip, and
  4. A female Avatar

There are so many things that could have gone wrong with this series and thankfully 99% of them didn’t.

None of it was rushed.

  1. the amon/tarlok was fixed right when they’re about to leave. We can understand why Tarlok will have none of it. We didn’t need a whole episode explaining why he was gonna blow up the boat.
  2. korra getting her bending back. All aang needed was to reverse-energy bend her. We don’t want another episode where Korra is just trying to learn how to communicate with her ancestors.
  3. everyone getting their bending back. Ofcourse that’s the next step now that Korra knows how to energy bend. The turtle taught Aang how to energy bend in about the same amount of time. So learning it wasn’t that big a deal.

There’s a big difference between Amon and Ozai. Ozai was evil and wanted to take over the world, while Amon was good and wanted everyone to be equal. Killing benders was never in the cards because he doesn’t want genocide, he wants everyone to be equal. He didn’t want non-benders being taken advantage of by benders.
Seriously bro…didn’t you just watch the season?

that though will just bring you back to another argument. amon not being evil just misunderstood is far from fact.

and it just brings back to the same point: he knows he can’t stop bending without killing. next generation would be able to bend, maybe less skillful than the generation before, but unless he’s sitting at the hospital every day bloodbending all the babies, he would have no control. if he WASN’T evil, he’d just let them go back to their lives and let them just go making bending babies, and undermine his entire ideal standard. thats why i have issue with it.

bro.

Wasn’t really feeling this series. Relationships made me angry, and all of the main characters were so fucking weak. There was a lot of smh at what they were losing to, and Temzen seemed like the only (good) guy that was on par with dudes from Aang’s series aside from Amon.

This is exactly what I’ve always thought since 5 episodes in.

Not to say it was a bad series but I felt korra and her main supporting characters(asami, bolin, mako)were incredibly flat in terms of characterization and personality. The only characters I truly felt had a real presence were tenzin, lin and amon but unfortunately I felt like most of the series could have easily been filler. Not bad a mini-series but as a sequel series to TLA I expected more, and with the serious nerfs and emphasis on corny romance no one cares about I was a little unsatisfied with the overall tone of the korra. Still a good show but it does have its flaws…hopefully season 2 improves upon some of these faults.

I’m not talking about emotionally. I mean they were getting their asses kicked from day 1. The only good fighters were Temzin, Amon and the rich girl. Aang’s series had the main four as beasts, as well as Azula and Iroh and probably some other hardasses I’m forgetting.

Korra had been training since she was a baby in three of the four elements, and I’m hard pressed to remember a fight that she won. She didn’t even beat Amon at the end since he fell out of the window then bailed.

Running away tends to mean you lost.
