Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

Spoiler

The journey was to face her fear and the inevitable as she’s been running from Amon almost the entire season. i know ppl wanted Aang levels of spiritual journey but Aang was a monk and Korra definitely wasn’t about the run off into the world to find herself. Honestly we can’t even fault them. Was the Legend of Korra even suppose to continue after this?? I think the season would have been alot less speedy if it would have been a full series from the beginning.

I highly enjoyed that ending.

I think that some serious character growth went down in this finale.

Look forward to whats coming in Season 2.

i’m pretty happy with the ending. my only complaint is that there was TOO much closure. i don’t even know what i’m looking forward to next season.

[details=Spoiler]all the other series always had a long underlying theme to them all, getting leveled up and beating the fire lord.

everything is tied up pretty tidy and the only thing i can think of being next seasons storyline is cleaning up republic city. or some other unknown person, but it would be a more interesting finally with some lead in.[/details]

THE ENDING WAS SO… SO… S…

Aaaagh the episode was so damn sick!!! I was all like…

Although there were a lot of questions/stupid stuff that happened

  1. It’s as if lightning is simply a little taser shock now, it can’t even incapacitate anyone anymore.
  2. They coulda explained more about how amon was taking the bending away.
  3. I like how they made Amon more vulnerable, and show that he’s not really a bad guy.
  4. I don’t know why Tarlok blew up that ship, I doubt they’re dead. Amon did take a direct lightning hit and survive, no way he was even injured from that explosion.
  5. The Yakone face off was kinda dumb, they just added it in there.
  6. I don’t like how they just kinda did a lot of things, just because. Like Korra can suddenly airbend after being equalized. Like how Korra can suddenly Avatar state after crying. I get aang being able to give her bending back, but it all happened in one scene. they coulda gave it some more.

hahahah that ending was such a copout. but i bet it was a nick decision.

  1. he either knew

  2. or two…it was a set up for them to get away.

hahaha that nigga is like 0-12, but the potential for him to be a good guy and beastin on people with escrima sticks makes me jump for joy.

Also Can we not have SPOILER Tags anymore? I mean If you don’t want to be spoiled, you better not go here.

Yeah Noatok is a good guy.

AAAAGGGGGGHHRHRRRFLFBL
This season just got better and better and I have a feeling next season will not disappoint… but what its gonna be about, who knows.
The finale didn’t really leave any questions unanswered but I don’t care I loved it.

Aww man, that finale was so good

Spoiler

I actually chuckled when Tarlok revealed that amon was his brother because people on here speculated it. The only thing I wish they would have done was explain exactly how blood bending could be used to take away people’s bending. Also, want some explanations on how Korra could still air bend.

just give it some time. not everyone wakes up on sat mornings for cartoons lol. theres gonna be that one fucker whos gonna bitch and claim the rules.

korra pmsing

Spoiler

i imagine he has to specifically take away awakened gifts. Like thing of bending as gene ala the xmen. he targets the gene that has awakened and shuts it down. I imagine since her airbending wasnt awakened yet it was safe.

Spoiler
  1. It’s not that it has been reduced to a simple taser shock it is that Mako had little charge time on the blast that stunned Amon. Earlier in the episode Iroh used lightning to take down a plane which a simple taser shot could not do

  2. It would have felt contrived, Tarrlok didn’t know and Amon was not in a position to monologue.

  3. If you go back to the flashback with his Dad you will see that Yakone tried starting a new life but ultimately he couldn’t let his aspirations die. From Tarlok’s point of view his Dad was a monster and despite Amon and Tarrlok being cut of from one another for decades wanting nothing to do with their Dad’s legacy, they ended up exactly like him. My guess is that he did not want the cycle to continue. And he more than likely is dead, the writers said each series would be self-contained so his plot is dead, on top of that it is hard to come back from an explosion when you’re stranded in the middle of the ocean.

  4. Yakone face off? You mean getting a face lift? Didn’t think it was that stupid, it’d explain how he could chill in the Water tribe where people would recognise him as a notorious criminal.

This show is a masterpiece.

Oh and I told you guys Amon can’t be the fucking avatar.

[details=Spoiler]That was a dope episode, my only complaint was the makorra angle, it just didn’t speak well of either character, but I guess the part where he apologized to asami was supposed to be like a “break up” or something. Anyway, extremely minor gripe, the explanation of amon was perfect, and while it was never fully explained why they could blood bend during the day, they gave it more exposition. The story of tarlok and amon was extremely sad though, and the ending almost had me in tears simply because they were just unfortunate children who were born to the wrong father. Asami vs her father in the mechs was pretty cool(if extremely short) and seeing tenzin full of uncontrollable rage when he attacked amon was a nice touch. And seeing aang at the end(as well as all the old avatars) was just the cherry on top.

I know some people are gonna complain that they took the easy way out with giving everyone back there bending but quite frankly I don’t care. That was an amazing finale(dare I say, much better than the original finale, wasn’t a fan of that tbh) now Im extremely curious as to what direction they will go with season 2. I originally thought she would spend season 2 gaining back her other elements and Im glad they aren’t going that route, should be fun though.[/details]

that theory was such bullshit.

dont be that guy.

btw in case you didnt realize…the secret to going to avatar state is…

[spoiler=secret]
trying to cockblock the avatar. lol. both times their significant other was in danger the avatars went ssj.

I’m not sure if I should use spoiler tags but fuck it, i’ll be nice.

now

[details=Spoiler] This episode was just…too good. I actually didnt expect Amon/Noatok to be a blood bender. I kind of wish they explained how he was able to take away bending with blood bending because thats pretty fucking broken. And the fact he could just use his eyes to blood bend is crazy. And it was badass to see Iroh live up to the hype. And it was pretty funny to see my Bumi is Amon theory go out right the window 10-15 minutes into the episode.

Did anyone else laugh when Meelo screamed “PRISON BREAK!!!” [/details]

Overall I give this episode a 9/10. I cant wait to see whats gonna go down next season.

I hope we see much more of Bumi in season 2.

I am sure that someone is gonna take Amon’s place as leader of the equalists. The equalists aren’t over, I mean why would they? People still think that benders oppress people. They’ll probably be smaller, but they’re not done.
Also I don’t think bloodbending has anything to do with taking away people’s bending. I think someone who thinks like Amon taught him how to take people’s bending, and I think he’s the real deal energybender, and he’s gonna show up next season.
More likely thought, that Korra will travel the world doing avatar stuff like aang did. I really hope it’s like this. A new place every episode.

Bloodbending is involved in him stripping people of their bending ( Not energy) that’s how Tarrlok was able to recognise him.

That nigga really was Ironman

The fuck he jump in a plane for if he could just fly lol.
