The flashbacks continue! That’s a really nice touch adding a bit of mystery to the show:tup:
From them so far it seems a younger Tenzin fought some bad guy and I’m guessing the consequences of those past events will have a huge impact on the cast somehow.
yes your probably grasping, but i kinda agree… only then Amon likely never meet Ozai… there is at least a single degree of separation between the two… perhaps it’s Yakone?
-Possibly ended the Probending saga for a good while. (it was starting to get boring)
-Really good fight sequences with Korra finally retaliating in a convincing way.
Metalbending whips is a really interesting concept. It’s funny how it doesn’t require any complicated stances or anything, considering they’re moving metal.
I’m sure that there are some covert benders in Amon’s ranks. I don’t think Amon’s plans are to create a “benderless” world, only a world where benders can be fully contained and under his complete control.
lol When Korra grabbed the Metalbending cop lady’s whip whilst falling her palms should’ve been stripped raw, but it’s all good in the Avatar’s 'hood.
I posted this a few pages back, but I actually think that Amon could be Ozai. Bumi was still a capable fighter at 112 and Kyoshi lived to be 230, so Ozai could still be alive.
Oh man I found the clip. I love that 1950’s radio voice. Hopefully he will stick around, I actually enjoy how each episode is introduced by him in that weird old TV filter.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Amon’s bending stealing transfers it to himself so he can become the most powerful and only bender, but the Ozai theory is interesting too.
It’s sad to say this but even the more basic benders in the war would wreck shop in this era like without a doubt .Nobody in this era can fight not even the Avatar.
Of course they would. They were fighting in a war. Their bending has to be top notch. As far as we know, the world has been at peace in Korra time. Bending mostly used now for sport and industry.
To be fair, most of the bending we’ve seen has been from hoodlums and “pro” benders. You’d figure Lin or Tenzin would be able to let loose massive property damage if given the chance.
Hopefully, now that “pro” bending season appears done, Korra will actually work on stepping her game up, because from the looks of it, those White Lotus boys did have her master jack, because she is still coming off as a novice in legit battles.
I was kind of annoyed by how badly the benders were jobbing compared to their former incarnations but it actually makes sense given the era they live in. It reminds of a interview bruce lee had when he was talking about how a lot of martial arts are now just"professional sporting events"compared to their ancient origins and I think the same could apply to bending just being a tool for the work force and professional sports. I also forgot that korra never had any real battle experience outside exercise drills and just her basic avatar training. In fact all the good guys on this show(outside tenzin and lin)are untested in terms of real world battle experience so Im not surprised how free they are.
