Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

Nah I think she is just a pyscho bitch:)

It is the internet, people over analyse everything.

While Karata was my least favorite of the main cast I don’t think she was worthy of hate. She was the team mom. Guess that’s why it was easy to dislike her

She didn’t feel like the team mom to me. She had wild mood swings, appealed with emotion in every situation and was extremely unstable emotionally…she went into PMS mood at instant over anything. If she was a supporting side character I could tolerate her but as one of the leads no way.

Good ep look forward to it more…so do they explain the weird where is zukos mom angle?

The show was written for a bigger audience than just kids.

they do in the comics.

Did they ever come out with the next chapter of The Promise?

Saw first ep of Korra. Good shit. I liked the interactions between Korra and Lyn.

comes out in June iirc.

Second episode is up on Korra nation

Spoiler

Another great episode. It’s obvious that Mako will be the Zuko surrogate for this series. Hopefully he won’t have emotional baggage he did. It is interesting how he’s a firebender and his bro is an earthbender. World has really come a long way since the first series. Pro bending was pretty cool. Liked the sparkle of boxing they added to it.

Just watched the new episode. Soooo good.

Episode 2

Spoiler

How did the fire ferrets win with only one win in that last match? lol. I liked the boxing style of firebending that Mako was using.

[S]Psuedo Rules:[/S]

[S]a) There are 3 zones.[/S]
[S]b) Everyone starts at the first (closest to the center) zone.[/S]
[S]c) You are forced back a zone if:[/S]
[][S]1) You move behind it.[/S]
[
][S]2) You foul by either pushing an opponent off the sides of the arena, or using more than one bending type.[/S]
[S]d) As stated above, you are only allowed to use one type of bending. (I’m not sure if you can have multiple teammates with the same type of bending)[/S]
[S]e) Also as stated above, the only way to eliminate someone off the platform is to push them off from the back.[/S]
[S]f) There are 4 rounds. Supposedly it’s timed (could not see a timer) like boxing where you or your team must stay up ( i.e not fall off the platform ) to procede to the next round.[/S]
[S]g) If your whole team falls off the platform your team will automatically lose the game. There must always be someone in the arena for your team to move on to the next round.[/S]
[S]h) It would make sense to do a number system at the end of a round based on where everyone stands in the arena ( i.e if your whole team remains in zone 1 and the opposing team are all in zone 3, you would score 3 points and the opposing team 9 points, lowest score wins ) to determine the winner of a single round.[/S]

[S]For your answer, see (g). I could be wrong about a lot of things, that’s just based off my first viewing of the episode.[/S]
[S]Honestly? Seems like a cool and simple game. Has a lot of similarties to boxing.[/S]

Unofficial-official rules:

 1. A pro bending match consists of 3 ( I counted 4? ) rounds.
 2. One round lasts 3 minutes.
 3. All three rounds are played, even if one team already won Round 1 and 2.
 4. The team which gained the most territory at the time the buzzer sounds at the end of the round, wins that round.
 5. If all members are knocked back behind the line of a zone, the other team is allowed to move up to the zone next to it. This will be signaled by the respective line lighting up in green.
 6. You are not allowed to knock off people on the sides, only on the back of the ring.
 7. Water and earth benders are only allowed to use the water and earth disks from the zone they are in at that moment.
 8. A bender that is knocked out of the ring can’t join in again that round. He is allowed to return the next round.
 9. If one team manages to knock all members from the other team off the field, they automatically win the entire match. This is also the reason for Rule 2.
 10. Two referees watch the match and are able to deal out penalties.
 11. For example, if you knock out a bender on the side or you step over the front line of your zone, you will get a penalty and have to move back one zone.
 12. It is not allowed to hit people in the face with fire bending or the earth discs. Water benders are allowed to hit the head, but ice is always permitted.
 13. If one player happens to be the Avatar, he or she is only allowed to bend one element.

So, I was right… ( about one thing anyway lol ). See #9 for the answer to your question. Since it’s been officially released at http://www.korranation.com I don’t think spoilers are needed?

this show is looking to be great! loved the first 2 episodes and looking forward to what will come next!

Thank god for torrents. My usual cocktail of stream-snatching programs can’t find the url, no matter what site I watch ep 2 on.

Is that an official Nickelodeon-sponsored site?

2nd Episode 23:22

I’m not ready to watch it yet.
Maybe later.
No spoilers pls.
omfg she’s reading the paper omfg

I wish that Nick could keep airing episodes online like this. To spread like wild fire Korra needs the internet the same way My Little Pony did.
