I remember the old days of the arcade. I used to work there two years if anybody remembers. The problem was the failure to get updated games. If you always here that other arcades get newer and better games but we never do. It just that some of the regulars got tired of playing the same game over and over. I worked in the store for 2 years, I talked Sandy and she told me that when the DDR machines were in front of arcade where everybody was playing the DDR machines, even non-gamers played it and everybody was just standing and watching people play the dance games. That’s where most of the money came from other than MvC 2 and Tekken, but when somebody in the mall complained about the music being too loud. They had to move the DDR machines in the back of the arcade that’s when everything went downhill. I also missed the late nights of playing at funsville as well. Nothing is like the good old days.

Hey Dru, take me off of the list. Not gonna make it.
No hard feelings toward you or electric but I will not support a venue run by a rude and immature person. Hopefully people show up to this and Augusta can be put on the map in the Southeast as a competitive area for SF4.
Hopefully losing one customer will do little to hurt your business but I believe every customer counts. If you don’t believe this then I will probably see the for rent sign on the window soon.

We are actually planning a little session at the TC probably in two weeks on a Saturday! John informed me that we will be trying out the equipment on the session to get footage for a promotional video. We will definitely let all you Augusta heads know the time and date for this sometime soon in the future! Anyone’s welcome to join!
Saturday Sept. 5th at 1pm were gonna hold a session at the tc for SF4 on 360. The purpose of the session is to get the Augusta crowd better acquainted and to help build each other up to a higher level of play. We are also gonna be testing out the video capture equipment the tc has been kind enough to let us use so bring your crazy combos and get hype. Even if you can’t participate in the tourney, feel free to come out.
The session will cost $7 per hour per tv that we use. We can use up to 4 of the large flat panel tv’s at the front (there are more crt tvs available if need be). The turnout will pretty much dictate how many tv’s we’ll probably use and you guys will determine how long you want to stay.
Before anyone gripes about paying and to give you guys a rough idea: If we get 10 people there and get 2 tv’s for 2 hrs, that’s only $2.80 a person.
We would also like to get an idea of how many people to expect so let me or dru know if you plan on coming. Get hype Augusta!
hello, i might be there as well. it all depends if i get stationed there or not since i’m in the army. i beleive and i’m hoping that i will get stationed there next month. are there any players on bases that you guys might know of?
Not that I know of… There might be a small Fort Gordon fighting game scene, but to my knowledge, I’ve never heard, seen, or met anyone on base who plays
