there was a small but decent fighting game scene on the base about a year ago but im not sure if its still alive (i lost contact with everyone after my brother moved)… there iz a guy who works at the comic book shop next to the PXtra… i know he still plays and im sure he would know of any other players on the base
haha i know rite… ive mostly jus been online these dayz but now that i work like 2 mins from DJ and Cory’s i can start doin more sessions now:clapdos::clapdos:
I know I need to stop by there. I have to buy a 360 stick because its hard to contact kiyo. I was going to have him dual mod my street fighter 4 se so I can play on both systems.
I’ll look into to this. I’m not entirely familiar with cap cards which is one reason I wanted to test it out before the tourney. I know some tech savy people who do this kinda stuff so it shouldn’t be of too much concern. If need be I think we have some equipment to test it with also but we’ll take care of that this Saturday and if we need to do more testing we can always have another session
I think the problem is with vista. I’ve done a little bit of reading and many cap cards don’t work well with vista despite being labeled as vista compatible. The software/drivers packaged with the equipment is usually buggy and you may be able to find updated versions via that manufacturers website. That may fix it but if none of that works and if you haven’t tried it with XP, that would be my best fix recommendation. I haven’t seen any complaints with XP so far. If it’s mac compatible I can bring my laptop in and I’m gonna also partition some hd space and try to install windows XP on it as well before Saturday.
For those coming out to the session this weekend, i forgot to mention but this is important, BRING CASH.
Matters which capture card you got, but ive had some experience with a few. Im not sure about Vista all too much, but i do know Pinnacle sucks as a program…If you want to successfully capture matches while recording you’ll also have to split the video from the screen to ur computer/laptop ( this might also matter which cap card u got, cause on some It might lag while ur recording). I figure its better just to get like a dvd/tape recorder and just plug it through cause its just easier to work with and you get the footage you want without having to bother with anything…
I have a Dazzle 100 and a ADS Tech Video Xpress. They both work great with XP. I bought a new laptop to run the Dazzle because it needs a fast computer to run Studio. I have a tower with XP we can use. No problems. We got it!
You don’t always have to use studio for dazzle, virtual dub works fine.I would list some other programs that work fine but I’ve lost the list of all of them , plus studio is just a memory hog for now reason I’ve seen good systems still drop frames with it and then capture with other programs and never drop a frame. I’m thinking of upgrading my storage drives so i can run a black magic hd capture card, Now that would be nice, lol.
