Augusta SUPER Tournament: Oct. 3rd Augusta, GA: SF4,BB,KOF12,Marvel

Yo Don, just invite us all over to your house and make us play PS3 lol! But seriously, I think we’ll be able to work more things out soon because schools starting up next week and some of us won’t rely on the wee hours of the night to get their game on because we’ll be sleeping instead. We just need to pick a place and a time and let everybody know

I would invite people over if i wasn’t living with my parents like a bum from failure to launch. lol

Hopefully we can get some games in soon. hungry for some live comp. online is okay but u won’t find good players unless u do champ mode. man there are some really good players in this country. i want to be able to beat them all. though that won’t happen i need to do as much as i can to come close to doing that.

played a guy named toomuchdamage yesterday night. don’t know if that was paul from west coast or eddie from atl. anyawys i lost 2 rounds straight. his sagat was SUPER solid.

I know more people in aug needs sagat practice and ryu practice. I definitely need honda practice, sim practice, chun practice, vega practices, ken practice, akuma practice, abel practice, sagat practice, the whole freaking roster. lol.

LETS PLAY AUG!

on fridays the tc will let you and as many people as you want use a system and tv for $7 dollars an hour. if 7 people come in, that’s $1 per person (not $7 a person as it used to be). i believe they are also adding a saturday special as well. we can do sessions here if you guys want to do that. if your still too cheap to do that i’ll look into maybe working out something with the tc guys or i’ll front the money to put the session together.

seriously, this is why the arcades in augusta have died. don’t let something with this kind of potential die too.

He makes a good point actually. I mean, back when TILT was still open, I must have spent atleast around $10 dollars every weekend on CVS2. Thats only 20 matches with 50 cents a match lol, it adds up when the competiton gets hype and you just keep pumping quarters into the machine. I wouldn’t mind spending a couple of dollars here and there to get in good games. We all know X-BOX Live and the PSN killed the arcades, and we pay to play through those networks,(well, we pay for xbox live: cause its better lol, jk), so why not pay a little to play back in person again. I know most of us can’t invite others to come to each others houses and whatnot, so I def think we should take advantage of places like these!

I don’t mind paying but it’s like we have the game at home, why pay for it? And those TC guys tried to make me pay for an extra hour. Boy did I get real heated when they tried to scam me. Kinda pissed me off and lowered my view of their integrity.

It’s also wack that they said that even if you pass 5 minutes you are charged for the next hour. that’s kinda lame. I understand that business is business and in this economy you have to squeeze every penny but they shouldn’t try to squeeze it out of their customers. Definitely not to new customers. And they don’t take debit/credit which is SUPER LAME!!! Are they even in the 21rst century???

I don’t mind playing there. I’m not too uptight about my cash but i usually carry plastic and no cash at all. If you guys do decide to play tonight/sat night let me know in advance so i can get some cash out. But until I see otherwise I do not have much respect for the tournament center. How they ran that gamestop tournament was the beginning of my negative views of the establishment.

A couple of people and I probably closed Tilt down. Everytime I show up there everyone scattered away from the tekken machine. People would wait for me to beat it. When antonio and little mike came everyone scattered from mvc2 even though they were the main contributors to that game’s profit. lol. No one really played cvs2 except the tilt regulars. also when antonio or alberto showed up people scattered from cvs2.

THE 4 HORSEMEN WHO SHUT DOWN TILT:

Alberto, Antonio, Don, Little Mike

LOL.

u didnt shut down anything foo.

lol. I need ryu and abel practice foo!

then call kiyo, U NEVER CALL ANYBODY :expressionless:

Man, I wasn’t scared of no Antonio and his S-Groove dookie in CVS2! And Alberto was a non-factor. Whatchu talkin 'bout Don?! lol, I’ve put Antonio and Bert off the machine plenty of times, and vice versa. We always came back tho, but anywho: I’m almost confident more people played CVS2 than Tekken. Just about everytime I went down there, Tekken was almost never being played. lol, the only reason they had that game was for that little bench we could sit on and watch Marvel. I was almost confident that our TILT was the best arcade in GA. It had Marvel, Marvel 2, CVS2, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Marvel vs SF, and SVC Chaos. The only thing it was really missing was Third Strike and ST. I dont think any other arcade in GA had a lineup like that and actually kept all of their machines working and in good shape. Yeah, we had some decent players who came frequently and spent quite alot here and there, but it just wasn’t enough. I dont think even if they made twice as much as they were making could they stay open still… Still miss that place tho… Good times

Dru you showed up at the arcade when the scene was already dead lol, what don is talkin about is like 3+ years ago :x

IDK man, there was still a good amount of players when I starting going somewhere around 2006 till it closed. I dont know what you mean by dead, but there was a period where I tried to go about every Fri and Saturday, and there was a good amount of competition about every time I went. I may have not gotten to personally know you or the usual players who went to tournaments and whatnot back then, but I was still around here and there. Dang Nam, trying to rob me of the little arcade wisdom I might have lol

Name: Casey Rich "Tsu"

Games entering: SF4, BB

 i didnt mean it like that <3. but like back in the day There useto be like 80-90 winstreaks in Tekken by Aaron (whom went to military), There was the marvel cabinet which had Me, Sora, Antonio, Alberto, Mike Nguyen, Kiyo, and like a bunch of other regulars, then there was Tekken which was also Me, Kiyo, Don, Aaron, Julius, Chris, Frantz, Raheem, and like a bunch others…honestly i dont think we ever had a CvS2 scene, we jus had people dabble in it a little…but augusta actually did well during the arcade scene like when the versus series came around, there was always people playin MvC1, Marvel vs SF, and so on…

I’m probably going to try to come out to this.

Is this at the same spot as last time?

Whoa, last time I saw you was at Impact! What’chu been up to? Starting school Monday?

Yup, that sounds way before my time  lol. But daaaang! 80+ win streaks! Crazy! I remember vaguely the versus series stuff, but that was when I was young and didn’t really even know how to throw a fireball  You guys are old :looney: I dunno, I liked CVS2 alot, well, I liked Marvel too, but I had no clue how to properly play the game, so I got owned everytime I tried…

Yes it is! Did you guys have any trouble finding the venue last time?

Kinda lost interest for a bit after IC. Too broke to travel for tourneys, lost track of you guys after marcus stopped havin sessions+lost my phone/numbers (ran into dj awhile back but lost his # on the way home:mad:), general lazyness…:looney:.

If yall get sessions goin agian plz hit me up:tup: My friends i usually play with hate training mode even more than i did, so my matches with them usually go: block icecar/noel d move of choice->360-> repeat and it gets boring for everyone real quick:sweat:

If i can break my habbit of waking up around 3pmish, yes:wasted:

lol, we haven’t really been up to anything lately, but yeah, if theres a session going on anytime soon, I’ll def let you know!

boy i miss those days. i remember when assists were considered cheap in marvel. man i abused cyclops assist like a whore. i used to rape in that game until i fell off the scene and nam and antonio started running things.

screw u nam. u made me hate marvel. lol.

watever don, u kno u love marvel U KNO IT. deep down inside i kno u stay home practicing marvel…

Nope, not at all. I’ve been there twice now, so it shouldn’t be hard to find for me now. I’m still not 100% on coming, but I’m definitely going to try my best to make it out there and pre-register once I know for sure.
