No you can’t jump out of way. Psycho Punisher hitbox is quite big so will snag people who are just airborne. -16 + 4 pre jump frames mean your only going get airborne 1 frame before Pyscho Punisher hits and that’s not enough time to clear Psycho Punishers massive hitbox.
C.LK has more range and is faster on start up than C.LP.
I have yet to stand my ground like an arrogant prick. What’s your point here?
If we are discussing something, then we’re discussing something. I said what I thought could work for a lousy Bison matchup, they pointed out the flaws in my theories, and I handed it to them. They are right.
What’s your issue, Mr. I’m-just-going-to-mouth-someone-off-because-I-clearly-have-no-idea-of-what-I’m-talking-about-but-I’ll-probably-look-cool-if-I-post-some-random-comment-on-the-guy-and-get-the-fuck-out-while-pointing-out-that-the-community-matters?
It’s not spreading misinformation if you’re TALKING about it.
Where is the rule on the forums that states: “if you don’t have the absolute Truth in your hands, you can’t write shit here. People are gullible and will believe your shit automatically, without thinking about it”.
This sort of internet gangsta behaviour is starting to get on my nerves. Just tone that shit down. You’re the ones derailing the thread with all the random fingerpointing.
What Azza said, and the fact that cr.short > cr.jab is a 1fl. Not worth it for 10 more damage.
Andy, how’s the st fp anti air working out for you and I noticed you do it alot after the other character sails over your head. Why not st. RH in this situation?
Yeah i always believed the fight to be somewhat even because that’s actually how exactly i fight against bison…but i still think its 6-4 for bison. I guess that’s because i think it’s easier for bison to get in or to do chip damage and just hold onto the lead.
I’m just surprised that kim said that the match is 6-4 in Vega’s favor…but 5-5 is pretty understandable though.
Another question for Kim/Andy/Jago(/whoever!):
The thing I’m working hardest on right now is devising – and sticking to – a firm gameplan in all of my matchups. My first step was to categorize matches into three ‘types of matches’: ones where Bison needs to take initiative and get inside, ones where Bison is looking to avoid the opponents offense, and ones that I feel are stalemate-ish.
From various posts in this thread, I’ve seen that I’m likely playing some matches wrong (Akuma and Chun, for example).
My list is/was like this (and obviously things change based on meter/health/playstyle and shit, but i’m trying to figure out primary goals):
Bison looks to pressure…: Akuma, Cody, Chun, Deejay, Dhalsim, Fuerte, Gouken, Guile, Ibuki, Juri, Rose, Ryu, Sagat, Sakura, Seth.
Bison looks to zone out…: Abel, Adon, Cammy, C. Viper, Dudley, Fei, Guy, Hakan, Makoto, Rufus, T. Hawk, Zangief
Awkward/ambiguous/Stare-at-each-other matches: Balrog, Blanka, Honda, Ken, Vega
Can any of you dudes point out some matchups that I might want to rethink? Er, is this sort of thinking ass-backwards in the first place?
Thanks!
why staredown ken?
He’s clearly a hunk.
Anyway… he belongs in the same department as Ryu. If you can pressure Ryu, you can pressure Ken. Their get out of jail cards are exactly the same, even if they have inherentely different playstyles.
So this makes it a 50/50?
Just runaway from everyone and keep them out
Pick new character if you’re not satisfied with how match ups are played. It’s not really the character’s fault, but it’s kind of how SSF4 really is played out in the meta game for at least 60% of the time.
Kim, dropping the precious info once again.
And by the way, what’s your take on Honda’s matchup? It’s hard in Super Turbo, but in SSF4 it seems so much easier to deal with him. Safe jumping on EX headbutt is relatively easy, and he can’t punish anything we do from far away quickly enough unless he has super (and even then…).
Why is it that people consider it 6-4 in honda’s favor? (Honda and Dic share one thing in this game… they’re both shitty against Guile and Chun… and Top Tier chars that are shitty against the Top Tier, don’t belong there…)
Honda’s ex headbutt and jab headbutt are buff and unpunishable
Low jab Is a good move and pretty much impossible to punish or beat, cancel them
Low jabs into 100 hand slap for more cheapness
Jump Ins are good vs dictator and buff ground normals are hard to punish with anything rewarding
But the most important part Is that it’s s boring fight that caters to Honda have more advantages.
You guys really need to get lamed out more, you wouldn’t be asking these questions if you were
Kinda forgot how you can’t teleport out of c.jab xx hhs strings pressure since they can just hold their charge and punish with headbutt =|
Well, I do get lamed out very often. Just haven’t played many Hondas. The people I know refrain from using him because they consider him too cheap/easy (the truth is: they can’t do c.jab xx hhs). I can only use him with my snooker glove and doing slide. But it’s not consistent enough, and after I was beaten in a mirror match, I retired him. Lasted 2 days. Learned my lesson.
Not super practical, but I think you can punish jab headbutt with lk super if you block it standing.

Kim is a nice player when he is not doing his superman shit.

Haha, Superman shit. WTF does that even mean
I read that in a recent match of yours. No fucking clue.
But youtube monsters are baked 100% of the time. Just skip the comment section. I wish there was a way to have comments hidden at all times.
I think cl. standin fierce has a bigger hitbox up close,
I find that i have greater success knocking people outta the air with this button rather than st. rh
but if st. rh gives u results i wouldnt object to using it either :china:
I think the damage and stun is higher, might be worth the effort to try using it more.
