i got so much trouble with guy owning elbow drop. that move was broken when i am trap in corner… guy deal almost same pressure as makoto,akuma in corners, and his ex dashing can absorb my 2 hit scissor and ultra me…and ken. his poke and ranom srk r so annyoing, and his frame trap c.hp mixup with kara throw is crazy effective…and finally akuma. air tasu is just free to him with demon palm flip, once i am at corner i can never get out. and his teleport r good too… so master kim wht you do with tuis 3 match up? ken guy akuma…

Hey Kim, what do you make of Neurosis not making it out of pools at Evo? Have you heard his thoughts on the matter?

Are there any guides on charging characters. I tried searching around I have alot of newbie questions. Ill just leave a few here. What situations do you lose your charge(Not including when some 1 jumps over you). For example when you jump over some1 does your charge reset the instant you cross there body when your still holding down forward. Also whats the easiest combo to do after a Jump in crouch attack. I Like 2x Cr.LP CR.LK? I’m having trouble getting in and causing pressure. So far I just use jump ins and Up Down Chargemove.

Do you have any good short cut commands for bison?

hi bipson users, im posting for the very first time in this boards (i read this thread very often :stalker dectected: ) im using bipson as a sub for a while now and im very text book player so to me bipson is a great character to play with (safe pressure ftw). So i have modified a decision tree (aka flow chart) of ST dictator for my own use, its not meant to be a standard flow chart nor an advance one, is just a chart with possible decisions available in a given moment /disclaimer.

Hi Kim,

I have a buddy who is very good with Abel (4000+ PP) and I was wondering if you had any cool, new mixups in general to beat Abel. He basically knows all the tricks that Bison has and how to beat them. DR, then focus dash into command grab. He also blocks cross up psycho, empty DR to grab, just everything.

Is there any more mixups to do or is it just being random so he can’t anticipate my options?

If I get counter hit a lot during my corner pressure, What am I doing wrong? Am I being too hasty?

Some match ups, like Abel require turtling and keep away games, but I find it hard to do because Bison lacks AA options, or at least I feel he does, I’ll try to hit them with s.rh but It just gets stuffed with w e j.normal they use and I eat the combo/mix up.

Learn to not use s.RH as an Anti-Air, and instead do pre-emptive jumping attacks (neutral/forward), jumping back attacks if they’re too close to you (and sometimes j.lk in case the move you’re expecting them to do has a short startup).

EX psycho is relatively reliable as an anti-air, but only against jump-ins, not neutral jumps nor jump backs. Jump backs can typically stuff it, and Neutral Jumping attacks like Cody’s j.HP or Sakura’s j.HK can easily destroy it.

EX Scissors is not a bad Anti-Air, but you have to be pre-emptive with it.

EX Headstomp is great if you can predict the jump-in. It beats 95% of the shit they throw at ya. If you haven’t been doing it, and you use it once as an anti-air, there’s little chance they were baiting it, hence -> they won’t counter it (with, say… Gen’s Ultra 2 or something).

To be honest, you should play Dictator with major focus on spacing. You have to know the jumping arc of your opponent perfectly and position yourself in a way that if they try to cross you up, you’ll just slide under them (unless they’re in the corner, in which case you should prevent them from jumping with proper s.HK timing, or neutral j.mk).

Also: Teleport.

And as a wiseman once said: “When all else fails: block.”

About you getting counterhit, that’s something that would happen with any character, not just Dictator. You have holes in your strings. Any 3f hole will allow a 3frame move to come out. Keep your strings tight (there is a thread for Frametraps), and you won’t get counterhit. Pay attention to spacing as well.

How do you beat the shit out of Dhalsim? Even Neurosis got raped by Lucky D at Evo in his Pool.
I can’t help but consider this the most one-sided matchup in the entire game. Which is probably retarded of me, but I have yet to find a way to beat Dhalsim at a high level. I can deal with Guile, even if it’s hard. But Guile can’t teleport, and I can actually walk forward at fullscreen against him. Dhalsim, on the other hand, is plain idiotic. I can’t focus dash forward against his moves without getting poked out of the dash’s recovery frames.
