And if they jump back: you’re safe. If they neutral jump, they’re too far away to hit ya. I believe Dhalsim might catch you with an instant overhead though. Not sure on that one.

Still, the only thing that pisses me off is that the matchup vs Chun and Guile simply got MUCH worse. The only advantage dic had, scissors pressure, got nerfed. What did they do to Chun? Oh, there ya go, your c.HK does less stun. Yes, because clearly, her pokes aren’t retarded.

I specially hate when people whine about Dic’s s.HK and forget about Chun’s broken pokes.

Kim, do you have any good setups against Cammy?

While the question was for Kim, I have a couple:

-After a throw, a well timed jump rh is super ambiguous on her, and is a safe jump against her DP. Take like, 1 and a half steps forward and then jump. On block, you can safely cr jab without being reversaled, allowing you to do a safe string into scissors.

-If you land a slide from close to max range, and instant headstomp is also safe against her DP. It will whiff if she tries, allowing you to slide and do it again. (props to andyocr for this one)

Thank you, Mike! I’ve got a couple myself:

  1. After c.jab, close s.jab, s.short, c.forward xx LIGHT SK, you can do an immediate j.rh for a safejump. You do sacrifice damage here, so that’s something to consider.

  2. After c.jab, close s.jab, s.short, c.forward xx MEDIUM PC, wind up a level 2 focus. If Cammy DP’s, it’ll whiff. If she doesn’t DP, you can release focus, dash in, and pressure.

The length of your list, compiled, I guess, as some sort of overwhelming laundry list of evidence that Bison is in fact awesome doesn’t prove a whole bunch. Naming these things off in a vaccuum doesn’t mean much if other characters’ total assets nullify entries on your list or are in sum greater than Bison’s. It’s not the size of the list that matters, it’s not that simple. It’s how well these things integrate with one another, how often these show up as real plusses in a given match, and how these things factor against the strengths of other characters. An extremely basic and straighforward character like Rog or Guile proves problematic for Bison, but would they have so lengthy a list of assets?

Also, you mention that good bison players just have to compensate for their weaknesses. Well of course. The real question is, how often, how much, and how difficult are these concessions when you’re playing against another character who isn’t placing the same demands on your opponent.

KIm now that you played him, any thoughts on how useful/less his U2 is now?

Bison is good in AE! I cant tell just yet to be completely honest. But U2 change might be a bit better then we all thought

its a charge motion but it does lots more damage, like a lot more. Its worth it if you land it. before in super, even if i landed it, it did no damage.

His scissor kick pushback isnt that bad, but its noticable, i havent tested anything out yet but i think u can still no another low short, scissor kick if your upclose.

More concerned with the st.hk nerf than anything. If you get the chance I would love to know if it seems like they made the move more reliable for AA purposes as a tradeoff for the damage hit.

What did you punish with U2? Before you had to buffer the motion (or at least, I did) in order to punish Ryu’s fireballs.

Good! I didn’t think a charge ultra 2 was bad either. I think it’s easier and quicker to flick a b,f,b,f + PPP rather than qcf,qcf+KKK

Is the first hit of his Ultra where they buffed the damage or the last two hits?

Of course he’s good. He almost didn’t change. His new pushback thing on lk scissors is kind of a buff, way easier to put people on the corner.

Charge command ultra is also good, you don’t need to buffer around to punish fireballs etc., also you don’t lose your charge. (without buffering it was almost impossible to punish things on reaction.)

Super buff is great against guile, chun, deejay. mark my words.

the only technical nerf was cr. lk hurtbox getting bigger. it’s still 3 frames. lol

Yeah, I thought about the command change was probably better than giving up charge to prebuffer QCF’s to ultra like it is now. But it only took away a few wake up 50/50 shenanigans.

Bison players will have to be a lot more smooth and consistent now.
