i ordered my copy of AOF Anthology for $16, ima get it in a wk or 2, im sort of excited to play this game havnt played it in a while
so I just decided today I wanna support SNK by getting this. I check every damn store in downtown toronto and none have it. wtf. If anyone in Toronto sees it in a store here, please tell me.
If you go to walmart in squareone they are selling it.
Go to walmarts electronic section, then go to the corner where they are selling old games for cheap. I think I saw 2 copies of the game left.
I was reading the instruction manual and learned that art of fighting 2 was the very first “king of fighters” tournament.
I found some of the character’s very interesting and would not mind if they brought them back and gave them an upgrade like what they did for eiji in kofxi
This game is doing very well. I was hanging around the local campus video game store this week. I was there for about 5 hours playing doa and 3’s. AOF was flying of the shelves. I had no choice to get one myself. Everyone that bought it bitch about the game but bought it anyway. My advise to anyone that plans to buy any snk game is buy it as soon as its released. SNK only releases so many copies. IF this game sells well we might see a US verson of garou.
Really I thought fatal fury was the first KOF game. Wasn’t fatal fury released first anyway?

Fatal Fury was released first, but AOF’s story takes place earlier than Fatal Fury. Hell, in AOF2,you can play as younger Geese Howard,before he became South Town’s biggest crimelord.

When you start making anthologies of games nobody (except hardcore AoF geeks) even wants, there’s a problem…
all the way at square one? I’m not taking a 2 hour transit ride from downtown just for the AOF anthology

**Mini Guide to playing Art of Fighting
CONTROLS
AOF 1 PS2 button functions:
Square (A): Weak punch, sets Triangle © button to strong punch
X (B): Weak kick, sets Triangle © button to strong kick
Triangle ©: Strong punch or strong kick
Circle (D): Taunt
GENERAL MOVES
TAUNTING
To taunt your opponent, press the D button. Taunting
will lower your opponent’s spirit gauge, but will
leave you vulnerable to attack when you do so so be
careful when you taunt. Taunting when far away from
the opponent is a good idea, but still, be careful.
WEAK PUNCH
Press A to punch the opponent, if it hits it will
cause a little damage.
WEAK KICK
Press B to kick the opponent, if it hits it will
cause a little damage.
STRONG PUNCH
Press A to do a weak punch. This will set the C
Button to strong punch, press C to do a strong
punch.
STRONG KICK
Press B to do a weak kick. This will set the C
Button to strong kick, press C to do a strong
kick.
HOOK PUNCH
Press A and C together for a punching attack.
SHIN KICK
Press B and C together to kick the opponent in
the shins.
THROWING
Move close to the opponent, hold left or right,
then press C to grab and throw them. Throws do
a good amount of damage. NOTE: Not all characters
can throw.
DASH FORWARD
Press right twice (when facing right, press left
twice when facing left) to dash at the opponent.
This is good for cheaply throwing the opponent.
DASH BACK
Press left twice (when facing right, press left
twice when facing left) to quickly dash back
away from the opponent. Very useful to avoid
attacks by the opponent.
CHARGE SPIRIT
Hold A or B to charge up you spirit gauge when
it is low to regain spirit.
OFF THE WALL ATTACK
Some characters can leap up to the wall, jump off
it and attack. To do this, jump up to a side of
the screen and press C, the character will leap
off and do an attack like a flying kick or
something. Ryo, Robert, Todo, Lee, King, John
and Mr. Karate can do this.

lol that’s so true. It’s strange that it’s the only place I found it so far. I have not tried duffirin mall by maybe their walmart might have it. 
I bought my copy at Toys R Us for 14.99. Now if SNKP can release the Shodown collection, KoF XI, NGBC, Fatal Fury collections and a better version of the Last Blade collection, that would be nice! :wgrin:
I would love to have a fatal fury collection. Even better if it comes with the real bout series too. I’ve always wondered how hon fu and sokaku played in the game.
Seeing as how AOF was the very first kong of fighters tournament I was wonder.
Is there any AOF character that you would love ot see an overhaul of look and moves to be involvd in future kof series?
Kind of like what they did for eiji.
