I too struggle with Chun and Blanka. Especially the G1-D and above!!!
Yeah, Chun-Li’s a nightmare. Sakura’s worst match, in my opinion.
Chun, Blanka, Honda, Balrog, and I’m not sure who would get 5 for Saks worst matchups. Ironically I don’t think she has it as bad against Sagat as much of the cast does due to EX Otoshi going right over that fireball spamman.
Why do you guys have such a problem with Chun Li and Blanka? Those are about the only matches that feel even to me; thus fun and competitive.
Chun: She’s pretty much locked onto the ground and has no “GTFO move” except ex-sbk, which is easily punishable. Her fireball zoning and traps don’t work on Sakura either. You can beat her with any ex move and in the air. Just gotta learn to block her pokes and focus her heavy moves.
Blanka: Zone him out until he has meter, then feint him to waste it >>. If you’re throwing fireballs, focus the moment you see him walking forward, you’ll catch his slide. Only thing saving him is upballs at the point, which better players won’t use as much due to long recovery. The only time Blanka will win is if he knows the range of jab balls->throw, that shit will end the match real quick. It’s boring, but not a bad match.
Rog: Sakura shuts his jump-in game absolutely down, and once you have ultra, he loses any ability to deal with your fireballs. So, he’s gonna sit and turtle, overheard him when he doesn’t expect it, focus his dashes, punish his armor break ones, and bait headbutts. Just gotta out turtle him.
Sakura’s worst matchup, by a long shot, is Akuma. He out pokes, teleports, falls out of her combos, able to zone her out, and one poke can take off half her life.
Chun’s bad but she’s not the worst. The fact that a shitty Chun isn’t that much trouble whereas a shitty Blanka is still a real pain to get around says something about her matchups >.<

I’d give take out Chun for Bison and add Akuma. Filthy combo dodging bastard.

Yes, Akuma. For some reason Akuma’s the only character I know that simply can’t be hit by cr.hp > EX Tatsu. Will this be fixed in Super? I highly doubt it. :lol:
I went from a G1* to First Day Scrub Sakura today… fucking fight stick. I normally chat with friends while I play, and he kept telling me different moves and combos to try and get used to it, and I’m like “okay, I can do Ryu’s FADC Ultra, which I couldn’t on the controller…” “dude, do ex-tatsu to ex-fireball” “alright” wiggles stick and attempts it a dozen times “agh! I can’t do an ex-tatsu @___@”
So, I gotta sit out online play for a couple weeks (until SSFIV) so I can get accustomed to this bitch = \

That’s true, lotta people have been pretty good sports about it. My game is around 60% back. I can play a match, but canceling HP’s into tatsus is looking real ugly. I keep getting FADCs/Otoshis… don’t know how I’m managing to hit mp @__@. You breathe on these sanwas and they jump like frogs on a dynamite pad. Her pokes->srk is lookin stupid easy though with a square gate!

Player matches are nice, find a good player and you can go a few rounds with them rather than just the one and not learn much if anything.
