Are you the worst Sakura Player? Vent here

I’m starting to hate Sakura lol. Why does she have to be so slow with a gimped ultra? SSF better up her game or I might find a new main. (recovering from a 55-1 match agaisnt Edma’s Akuma).

Edma is one of the top Akuma players in the US, no? His name certainly rings a bell :stuck_out_tongue:

. yeeah, it was embarrassing.

Heh I wouldn’t be if I walked away with one victory, even if I lost 100, being able to snag a single win from a pro is still something to be proud of methinks :bgrin:

lol for realz, I’m always rooting for ed ma… seems he’s always in like the top 8 or something, but never makes it to the finals…

If I played him a thousand times and won once… best believe I’d be here braggin an shit…

Hah, he was going easy and made a mistimed mistake on a raging demon->ate counter ultra.

Lotta fun though, even played some Fuerte mirrors (where he was getting perfects), lmao. His Akuma just made Sakura seem like a joke. Everytime he landed a footsie, I was eatting a huge combo (and his foot always bested mine). Of course, mixups weren’t happening with his teleport… so… there was little to do except attempt to land a mk->shou (which I suck at) or throw him in a blockstring for awhile with a few overheads here and there. Any round I did get came from sloooow chips. Again though, he played less and less serious. It got to the point where he’d setup a situation and do it over and over until I learned, which was awesome.

Nonetheless, Sakura will probably fall on the backburner for Dudley and Cody. Also, that skill plateau of unlearning auto-pilot reactions for smarter footsies is a hard thing to accomplish, lmao.

It’s cool he was helping you with the matchup, would have been better if he gave you hints rather then watching you fail several times until you got it though

Sakura will always be my number 1 :bgrin:

Man, I’m getting bad with her. It’s pissing me off 'cause she used to be my best.

if your having a problem with blankas waking up into electricity just do a meaty sweep and it will knock them back down, and just do it again until they block. or after a few they will wise up and u can actually do something like cross up blanka. now for gief, if u find he keeps waking up into lariat time your jump later than usual. what happens is that they will throw lariat on wake up but since u timed it late u dont get caught with the startup of lariat so j hp will stuff it and boom u get a full combo.

No I’m definitely the worst sakura player , plast night i got to g2 and got really frustrated because in 20 matches i won like 2  im really bad and i thought i was somehow average but i got my ass kicked everytime in g2. Must train harder =X

I’d say rather than needing to improve on Sakura you probably need to work on your anti-scrub tactics more. I guess you’re having a hard time getting around the laggy spam fest that is online SF4 and I know how frustrating that is, just need to work on getting to them safely and pressuring them into making mistakes (which they will do in spades).

it is normal, in G2 people like to abuse some strong moves.

When you hit G1 will look back and think how noob they are ^^

Still stuck @ G2 TT__TT … 6k points, 4k points to go, which means I need to win about 40 more at the end.

SSFIV=Rank Reset=Player Matches Now = p

Hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but you’ve got 9k points to go bro.

I never liked ranked mode, was like a shittier version of championship mode but with the new ranked mode in SSF4 where it gives separate BP per character I’m actually interested as to see who my strongest character will be  Plus it doesn’t look like championship mode will come out at the start of SSF4 with :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, more garbage to report.

Playing some Ryu this morning…if I’d have been able to save the replay I’d wager my left nut this guy was using turbo. Anytime there was ANY sort of gap in a blockstring I was putting together-SHORYUKEN. Any time. Without fail. I sincerely doubt his timing was that GDLK.

I think that’s good, it seems kinda more set up like the rankings from BlazBlue, which is a good thing. I’d really like to see how my Sakura ranks up with other Sak’s around the globe.

Don’t really need good timing when mashing works 99.9% of the time :frowning:

yeah just wiggle your stick and press the buttons
